Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel

Extremely disappointed, I'm sad to say. The Berkeley has gone down hill. The smell of mold and or sewage hung in the air. The cost for valet is double what we pay in NYC. No room at the pool. Just so disappointed.

This was our second stay here. Hotel now has refrigerators in the units and ice machines on every floor. The loud club type pool music didn’t suit the audience which was mostly families and people trying to relax,. A bit expensive given parking is not included. Not sure we would stay here again unless going to a concert at Stone Pony.

After reading the reviews, I was nervous. To my surprise, Berkeley Oceanfront ended up being a WONDERFUL gem. My room was huge with a NYC "pre-war" apartment feel. Room and hotel were clean. Noise level was mid - I could hear the baby next door crying through the night. Located a short walk from the Boardwalk. There is a small bites eatery onsite. Pool was great. Explore the hotel to find these quaint but opulent spaces. See photos.

Nice hotel, staff is very nice.. they just need to update their website regarding restaurant menu and times...very disappointed no lobster roll... Also $75 a day for valet and they parked our car on the grass on property under a tree, not happy . Overall nice place walking distance to boardwalk and Stone Pony

Very clean but most of all the staff was really awesome . Went out if there way to help . Thank you Shawn & Ron. You both made our stay more memorable with your kindness shown everything you saw us can’t wait to come back ! Nicky said it was “ top notch”

Best place to stay in Asbury. Right across from beach. The pool is a great place to relax. Many amenities too.

Grand old hotel with a storied history. As an older hotel standard rooms are small. Bathroom had no counter space for toiletries. Highly recommend a countertop be added in bathroom. Phenomenal service from staff in assisting my husband with his mobility issues. Carl at the valet desk went above and beyond to help- a true gem! Shawn and Rosie were very helpful on Saturday at check out. Great location but parking is expensive.

Nice hotel, reasonably priced, comfortable bed and great location near the beach and Stone Pony. But we had a problem with the bathroom. They had no bar soap and the liquid soap dispenser in the shower didn’t work

Great Location, Terrible Customer Service The location is great and the hotel itself is nice enough, but our experience was extremely disappointing. We valet parked our car and returned to find that it had been rummaged through and items were stolen. There were no broken windows or signs of forced entry. The car had simply been left unlocked. The seat was pushed all the way down, the floor was wet from someone’s shoes, and it appeared someone had spent a significant amount of time inside the car. We reported it immediately to the valet and front desk, but the hotel never followed up, refused to refund the valet fee, and would not return our calls. The front desk manager, Shawn, was rude and showed very little concern. We were also charged a $114 early check in fee that was never disclosed to us. Great location, but after how these situations were handled, we would absolutely not stay here again.
