Best Western Reading Calcot Hotel

I am extremely disappointed with the condition of Room 33 during my stay today. The room was not fit for use. The sofa had stains resembling blood, the room smelled strongly of mould, and the overall hygiene was unacceptable.My wife became sick due to the smell, and we had to leave the hotel within hours. This is the worst experience I have had despite being a regular customer.I request an immediate full refund and expect that Room 33 is deep cleaned and inspected properly.Please respond as soon as possible.Regards,

A one night stay over, on our way to Henley-On-Thames. After reading other reviews I was sceptical of what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised on arrival, very easy check in. The member on the desk was very helpful and polite. Room was clean and smelt nice. Bed was very comfortable.Went and had drinks in the bar and had an evening meal. All lovely. Alex on the bar was very pleasant and attentive. Would recommend.Very good value for money.

Firstly all staff here were superb and could not be faulted. They were friendly helpful and polite. The breakfast was tasty.  My room was tired and grubby. It served a purpose for a nights rest but don’t take your wife there she will kill you!  There was no evening meal available apart from a frozen pizza. Beer was good though.

This hotel is part of Best Western group but the standard of the room is out of date. No air-con, fridge and charging outlet. There are 2 socket for everything. I was given a room on first floor and it was a sauna. Other then that the room dies have basic thibgs like ensuite, tea, coffe, kettle, a television and an iron. The hotel alsi have bar and a restaurant. The hotel serve buffet breakfast in the morning. The staff are hit and miss.

This BEST WESTERN is feeling its age but is all there for the occasional user. The rooms are basic but functional, the bathroom is a bit cramped but all works and the bed is comfortable and the tea making services available. It does however hit a price point that is otherwise difficult to find in the Reading area.

I had a very nice 2 night stay. The room is a bit dated, but it was clean and comfortable. Everything worked well, from the shower temperature and pressure, to good wifi. The staff was friendly, available and efficient. Unfortunately I did not have time for breakfast which was included, so cannot talk of that, but it was just a 13 min walk to a shoppmall with a big supermarket. There was a big car park, if you drive, but I came by bus from Reading Railway Station and found it a short walk from the stop on arrival and for returning to Reading the bus stop was just in front of the hotel.

10/10 hotel excellent stay

It was not good before I go this hotel that time I like that’s why I select again but this time I was not good. No phone on room no dustbin no shampoo just one cup and we are two person so that time I am not happy with my trip
