Spark by Hilton Watertown

We specifically asked at the front desk when checking in if the pool is open. When it's 90 degrees and couples/families are staying at a hotel with a pool... That's part of they're vacation recreation. We checked in, unpacked, and went straight to the pool. 15 minutes later we were informed the pool is being closed (3:30 p.m.) for the rest of the day and night. The hotel should have to give part of the money back or some other compensation. Won't be staying at this hotel again.

Good service

Stayed at this venue when it was a holiday inn & later as a best western..so paint and some modern furniture to update as a Hilton. Still hear showers in adjoining rooms.. breakfast bagle bar was devastated by a large group of college students..no attendant, 2 double toasters did not work ..no microwave.......room was comfortable but anyone over 250# would be a tight bathroom squeeze. Wi fi worked well it was clean..

Interesting downtown location. Newly remodeled smell of paint in halls very strong. They neglected to install fans in the bathroom which is tiny. And if you’re redoing a hotel, why not just make all floors laminate instead of half laminate and half gross carpet? Also doors remain open which is a safety risk. Breakfast is cereal

We had stayed in this hotel when it was a Best Western and said we would not stay again. We booked Spark, not knowing that it was the old Best Western. We were pleasantly surprised with a new room ,clean fresh beds and towels. The breakfast area was bright and clean and had a cold lite breakfast. The highlight of the trip was the young lady who checked us into our room..so nice, so informative. Then we were told she had only been here a week! Keep on doing what your doing, great improvements all around. We will definitely stay again next year:) the only possible criticism is that the back entry door does not lock. It hasn't for years. To make the hotel more secure for guests, it would be nice to see them key entry.

This property is under renovation and there are things not yet in rooms (like mini fridge). The staff offered to bring ice to our room for us and provided free cold drinks as well as 24hr coffee. The bed was the best hotel bed I’ve stayed in.

It was new and very clean. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. I would have liked a map of the city to help me find my way around! I will be returning as necessary.

I would never return…the drain didn’t work in the bathtub as you showered the tub filled with water…the room wasn’t really clean carpet was dirty had a smell to it..the whole room.the breakfast was literally disgusting….first morning the yogurt machine was all plugged up…the bagels were in a bag instead of in the case. …second morning there was nothing barely out and I had to ask for bagels….i went to get coffee the tray that creamers were in was filthy….there were some creamers at the bottom and they were dried up and hard where the cream is just thrown on top and never rotated.i brought it to the staffs attention….totally disgusting…..went back in to get my bagel and the yogurt machine was worse then the previous day…if the board of health had seen the condition of the breakfast they would close the breakfast down….totally unhealthy.

Room 101 carpet was filthy and huge stains. Gross! I've never seen anything like it in a hotel room I rented. Exasperated staff said management would not put any money into the hotel as it was soon to be renovated for a hillton. I would hope best western pulled their franchise. Feel sorry for the exasperated few staff who have to deal with this on a daily basis. Beware of staying at this Watertown hotel!
