Bintan Mountain

Mount Bintan is equipped with a waterfall which is also a tourist attraction. You can find the tourist attraction of Mount Bintan waterfall at the foot of Mount Bintan. This is very interesting, because not only climbing but after climbing you can also visit the waterfall. This waterfall tourist attraction is already familiar to residents of Batam Island, and also Bintan Island, as well as the surrounding residents. This waterfall is very clear and also a bit cold but can make you relax and very refreshing. This tourist spot is approximately 53 km from Tanjung Pinang City and you can access it using several public vehicles such as taxis or you can also rent a car. The travel time you need to get to this tourist area is about 1 hour, while to get to the waterfall it takes about 300 meters to walk. #mountain #themepark#lakes

Good food, good fun!

Good food, good fun!

Truly an all-inclusive holiday where you can just pack your bags and go! 55min away via a ferry from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, Clubmed Bintan is a convenient getaway if you would like to avoid the high airfares or the heavy traffic across the causeway during school holidays. 3 meals of international spread buffet with late breakfast late lunch available. There is food and drinks during waking hours throughout. High quality food and drinks too. Buffet spread includes nicely plated food like duck confit, foie gras terrine, baked fish, soba, chirashi don, icecream and desserts, fresh juices for breakfast, steak, spaghetti, burgers, vegan choices, Indian cuisine, chinese cuisine where their stirfry noodles are so yummy and they even generously have steamed promfret. The menu keeps changing daily and although we were there for 4 nights, your palate will never feel bored. The hospitality is great as well! So many activities to take part in. Watersports like sailing snorkeling kayaking standup paddling aqua cardio workout, land activities like 24h gym/badminton courts/basketball/squash courts available. Also, futsal, tennis, golf, flying trapeze, bocce ball, table tennis, archery, rock climbing, aerial yoga etc. Open areas where you can enjoy frisbee or just run around/ take beautiful jumpshots. There is also teeshirt dyeing, making of bath bombs, cooking demonstration activities. The kids club brings kids on an adventure, trying out various sports as well as baking etc. Various interesting night activities too. One night we had a bbq dinner with pool circus performance just by the pool. The team had set up an elaborate spread, including bringing out a whole fridge of tarts and desserts and the whole international buffet spread to the pool side so we can all enjoy a super wonderful time with amazing performances. Another night there was an Indonesian night with dance, ketupat making, henna painting, massage, together with some local cuisine snacks and drinks. There was also a foam party for the kids by the beach, something the kids would not forget! Food and drink stalls were set up beside so we could all enjoy some snacks while watching the kids have fun. All these are all included into the overall package! Super worth it I would say! Those with babies need not fret too. There is an area outside the restaurant with baby food (pouch food, fruits, milk, warmers etc). Also baby sitting services available for an extra cost. Highlights for us included getting on the flying trapeze (ditch the fear of heights and just enjoy the swing!), bbq dinner by the poolside with circus show, aerial yoga by the seaside with the breeze (oh so soothing) as well as archery/rock climbing (that would have cost quite abit if you do it ala carte in SG). Altogether, an awesome experience! P.S. 20 photos are not enough to do the experience justice 😛

Escape to a Desert Paradise: Gurun Pasir Bintan

Escape to a Desert Paradise: Gurun Pasir Bintan

Bintan is renowned for its luxurious resorts and sandy beaches. It's a short distance from Singapore and a good escape from the bustling city life. One of the must-visit places in Bintan is Gurun Pasir Bintan. It is a man-made 'desert', previously a Bauxite mine. Over the years, it has become a tourist spot when the excavation site was transformed to sand dunes and the mineral residues of the mine turned the water clear blue. This place is highly instagrammable and frequented by both locals and tourists. It is my second time visiting this place and there are a few activities added - ATV riding and photo taking with eagle. It is worth going if you have time to spare! Address: Jl. Raya Busung, Busung, Kec. Seri Kuala Lobam, Kabupaten Bintan, Kepulauan Riau 29152, Indonesia Rating: 3/5 Entrance fee: IDR 25000 (SGD ~ $2)

Warung Yeah! - Exploring Bintan Food

Had the pleasure of dining at Warung Yeah, Lagoi (Bintan). There is indoor sitting with air-con and outdoor sitting with a Sea View which makes it an unforgettable culinary experience of local foods. Mouthwatering selection of Indonesia dishes. The ayam penyet, Ayam Bakar, fried chicken wings, tofu with veg stuffed inside and indomie were spectacular. The fried garlic chicken was exquisitely spiced, and the fish was fresh and boasting a perfect balance of flavors and a delightful crunch that was an absolute treat for the senses. The classic Indonesian instant noodle dish. The familiar comfort of the noodles combined with the authentic seasoning resulted in a dish that was both nostalgic and satisfying. I think is a must visit place to eat and the price is reasonable as well. After dinner you can enjoy a stroll at the beach to end off the evening. #Warungyeah
