Siem Reap invites you to step into the mysterious and charming cooking class, unlock the Khmer food code surrounded by ancient monuments, and start a cultural journey of taste.

Course content Ancient flavor: The course market usually takes about 3 hours, focusing on traditional Khmer food, such as Khmer spring rolls, green mango salad, Amok fish, etc. You will start with market purchases, learn and check various spices, vegetables, fish and other ingredients, and feel the local life atmosphere of Cambodia. Learn the unique marinating of fish, making spring roll wraps, and the use of Khmer spices to appreciate the ancient flavor. Students will personally create 4-8 authentic Siem Reap delicacies in one class, and after the course, they can also take back detailed recipes of Khmer cuisine and share this delicious memory with their families at home.

Small class teaching and deep teaching staff: The number of students in a class is usually controlled at 6-8 people. This scale makes it easier for the chef to pay attention to all students, and students can exchange their experiences of visiting Angkor. The atmosphere is warm and harmonious, which adds to the fun of learning. Most of the chefs who teach are professional chefs, or have family inheritance, and are well versed in Khmer food culture. They use the method of telling history while making, and provide detailed guidance to let students feel the fusion of food and culture.

The facilities are full of style: The cooking venues have indoor and semi-open courtyards with a strong Khmer style. Some cooking venues also have their own vegetable gardens, where they grow many spices and vegetables used in dishes, etc. Some ingredients also come from local markets and villages, fresh and simple, and original.

The cooking experience in Siem Reap is not only a journey to learn food skills, but also a rare opportunity to gain a deep understanding of local culture and lifestyle. Whether you are a culinary novice or a food enthusiast, the courses here will provide you with a unique experience and practical skills, adding an unforgettable taste and memory to your trip.

Horseback Riding

One of the best things we did in Siem Reap is Horseback Riding. It was our first time, so we are nervous and feels intense about it. The tour guides were so helpful, chill, and supportive and they are also well trained in taking care or the horses. We tour the city of Siem Reap for 1 hour and it was all worth it. We had a meaning conversation with the tour guide, it helps us calm while riding the horse. It was an unforgettable experience as a couple and Happy Ranch Horse Farm made it possible. Another check in our bucket list. #FilipinoInSiemReap #HorseBackRiding #SiemReapTrip #CoupleGoals #urbanexplorer #awesomepic # #mytripvlog#couplestrip

Climbing the tower of Angkor Wat

#bucketlistreboot Over a million tourists visit Angkor Wat annually, the largest temple complex ever built. The view from the top is the crown jewel of this world of wonder. In the past only elite priests had access to the central tower and courtyard traditionally called Bakan, which held the main shrine of Vishnu and Buddha through the old steep narrow stairs using the help of both hands. Now the present, the complex had built wooden stairs with railings on both sides, one way up, one way down for the safety of tourists no more using the old stairs. The view from the top is marvelous looking downward on the land and complex. The only advice did not rush during the climb, be careful.

Whispers of History at Angkor Wat

Exploring Angkor Wat in Siem Reap was like stepping into a timeless realm, a world where ancient stones speak of history, spirituality, and artistry🕌. As the largest religious monument in the world, this temple complex captivates with its grand scale, intricate carvings, and the serene atmosphere that pervades its walls🌿. Wandering through the corridors and courtyards at dawn, I was enveloped in an ethereal light that brought the temple's detailed bas-reliefs and devatas (guardian spirits) to life. The play of light and shadow made each step feel like a discovery of hidden stories and forgotten eras🌅. For those visiting Angkor Wat, watching the sunrise over the temple's iconic spires is a must-do experience. The way the sun's rays illuminate the stone and water creates a magical, once-in-a-lifetime spectacle🌞. Comfortable walking shoes are essential as exploring the vast complex requires a lot of walking. Staying hydrated and wearing sun protection is also important, given Cambodia's warm climate👟. Remember to respect the sacred nature of the site. Dress modestly, and be mindful of the cultural significance of the temples🧘♀️. Lastly, consider hiring a local guide. Their knowledge not only enriches the experience but also supports the local community. They can provide fascinating insights into the history, architecture, and symbolism of Angkor Wat🗺️. #AngkorAwakening #TempleTales #SiemReapStories #HistoricHaven #CambodianChronicles 🇰🇭📜🌤️📷🍃 #falltrip#mytravelhacks#historicallandmarks

Tombraiding at the Angkor Wat 🛕

Tombraiding at the Angkor Wat 🛕

We chose the 7 day pass to the Angkor Wat, even though everyone suggested the 3 day pass would be sufficient. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. The Angkor Wat is the largest religious complex in the world and has over 1000 thousand buildings on a site of 162.6 hectares. So 7 days, to us, seemed necessary if we wanted to really explore and take it all in. Below are some suggestions. Do: ✅️ ✅️ Book on their official site before you arrive at the gate. You can take a screenshot of your ticket with picture and QR code. This will make it easier to show the guards at the complex entrances. ✅️Rent a bicycle and cycle from complex to complex. You can find bicycles to hire on the left-hand side of the road, just after you enter the main entrance. Google "Angkor Wat bicycle rental" to find the exact location on Google Maps. ✅️Take lots of water and snacks, and don't forget the sunscreen, hats, and bug spray. Dress in loose cool clothes, with comfortable shoes, and be prepared to scale some steep temple steps. Don't:❌️ ❌️ Travel in April, May, or June. It's just too hot. We were there for a month mid-May - mid-June, and the heat was unbearable at times. ❌️ Eat food that isn't thoroughly cooked. I had a medium-rare steak and learned this lesson very quickly. ❌️ Play with the monkeys, or walk close to them with anything that looks like food. They will take it from you. They grabbed our water and made a run for it🤣 Safe Travels! Explore and enjoy! 📸🎉#cambodiatrip #siemreap #siemreaptrip #angkorwat

Cambodia | Organized a 4-day tour guide, please keep it well

Cambodia | Organized a 4-day tour guide, please keep it well

| Organized a 4-day tour guide, please keep it well. Cambodia, formerly known as Khmer, has a long history of civilization as Cambodians have lived in the lower Mekong River and Tonle Sap Lake area for three to four thousand years. Angkor Wat was the capital of the ancient Khmer kingdom, once the largest city in the world in terms of area, architectural style, and relief art. It takes at least 3 days to visit Angkor Wat, which is divided into small, large, and outer circles. Our route D1: Guangzhou—Siem Reap—Cambodian Hot Pot D2: Bayon Temple—Baphuon Temple—Sky Palace—Elephant Terrace Leper King Terrace—Ta Keo Temple—Zhou Sa Temple—Ta Prohm Temple—Banteay Kdei Temple—Angkor Wat D3: Angkor Wat Sunrise—South Gate of Thommanon—Sacred Sword Temple—Long Pool—Ta Som Temple—East Mebon Temple—Banteay Srei Temple—Royal Bath—Ta Prohm Temple—Dou Kou Temple—Bakken Mountain Sunset D4: Queen's Palace—Beng Mealea—Bakong Temple The small circle is the most essence and exciting route among the three routes, and the distance between the points is relatively close, including Small Angkor, Big Angkor, and Bakken Mountain to watch the sunset; The big circle is a route that connects the temples near Siem Reap city, and the distance between the big circle attractions is relatively far compared to the small circle; The outer circle refers to Beng Mealea, Queen's Palace and Roluos Temple ruins, which are relatively far from Siem Reap city, and the journey is basically more than 30 minutes; Visit tips 1. Many attractions in Angkor Wat cannot wear sleeveless tops and too short skirts/pants; 2. Wear non-slip shoes, many roads in the scenic area are slippery, and there are many mosquitoes in the scenic area, so be prepared for mosquito prevention; 3. Small Angkor is the most classic sunrise viewing spot, so there are more people. It is recommended to leave for Small Angkor to watch the sunrise at 4:30 in the morning, and you need to enter Small Angkor around 5 o'clock; 4. The Bayon Temple tour group has already started at 8 o'clock. If you want to avoid the crowd and appreciate the quiet side of Bayon Temple, there are generally fewer people before 7 o'clock in the morning and after 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and the sun is very good at this time, you can take pictures before the crowd arrives; 5. The Queen's Palace tour group generally arrives in the afternoon, so try to go to the Queen's Palace before 8 o'clock in the morning, and visit Beng Mealea in the afternoon
