Golden Pavilion of Kyoto 🇯🇵

#japantrip 📍Kinkakuji Temple, Kyoto, Japan Visited this famous Gold Pavilion of Kyoto, Kinkakuji Temple, which is a Zen Buddhist temple located in Northern Kyoto. The temple was absolutely stunning and gleaming in gold! This beautiful and impressive architecture was built overlooking a large pond, and the reflection of the temple was simply mesmerising! The Japanese themed garden filled with lush greeneries was nicely built and maintained. The overall ambiance was relaxing and serene, lovely place to take a stroll and take a lot of touristy photos! The temple was really crowded during our visit, would suggest to come earlier to have more pictures with the golden temple! In essence, Kinkakuji Temple is a must visit destination while in Kyoto!

Early Red Leaves Spotted at Toji Temple

Early Red Leaves Spotted at Toji Temple

For the second consecutive year, the night viewing at Toji Temple is in full swing. Currently, most of the leaves are still green, but a single 'early bloomer' red maple has been discovered and immediately surrounded by visitors eager to take 360-degree photos with it. Along with this, there's a photo from last year when the red leaves were at their peak in early December. According to current predictions, visitors in the coming weeks might witness the most beautiful maple leaves. #RedLeafSeason #TojiTemple #Kyoto #KyotoTravel #TojiNightMaple #ExploreAndSeeDifferentSceneries

Arashiyama - place to go for nature and water

At Japan we decided to visit Arashiyama. It was a nice place where we saw a busy train station filled with kimono style decorations, then got to the iconic bamboo forest. While crowded, it is big so you can probably find yourself a photo spot. There is also waters with different layers of waters for those who like waters and want to play with waters or just take some nice iconic photos. Do leave a day for this place ( or daytime minimum)

The Kyoto temple where Toyotomi Hideyoshi often lived, surprisingly no one is there during the autumn leaves season

The Kyoto temple where Toyotomi Hideyoshi often lived, surprisingly no one is there during the autumn leaves season

Myokenji is one of the four major temples of the Nichiren Sect in Japan, located in the Kamigyo Ward of Kyoto, and was once a temple where Toyotomi Hideyoshi often lived. Even during the peak tourist season in Kyoto, there are few people in Myokenji. The dry landscape garden in the autumn leaves season has become a beautiful painting. Myokenji has a 'Bao Yiqu Shui Pavilion', which is a courtyard for monks to practice. In the center of the courtyard is a water koto cave. When you scoop water and pour it on the stone, you can hear the pleasant sound of flowing water. The breeze blows, the bamboo forest sways, the light and shadow are charming, and you don't want to leave after sitting for a long time. 📍Address: 514 Myokenji-cho, Shinmachi Nishiiri, Teranouchi-dori, Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto ⏰Business hours: 10:00~16:00 (open all year round) 📌Transportation: About 30 minutes by bus from Kyoto Station

First Snowfall at Kiyomizudera: A Magical Winter Scene with Rainbow and Sunset

#newyearnewtrip Experiencing the first snow during the autumn-to-winter transition at Kiyomizudera Temple in December is nothing short of magical. The iconic temple, perched on a hill overlooking Kyoto, is transformed into a serene winter wonderland as delicate snowflakes gently blanket the surrounding landscape. Amidst the lingering autumn leaves, the mix of vibrant red and golden foliage dusted with white snow creates a breathtakingly unique scene. The streets leading up to Kiyomizudera are equally enchanting, lined with quaint shops and cafes that offer warmth and comfort on a chilly day. Whether you choose to savor a hot cup of matcha in a traditional teahouse or relax under a transparent umbrella while taking in the snowfall, the experience feels like stepping into a serene painting. As the day transitions, a stunning rainbow arches over the horizon, adding a touch of vibrancy to the wintry ambiance. Finally, the sunset casts a golden glow over the temple and its surroundings, completing the picture-perfect day. Kiyomizudera during the first snow is not just a destination but an unforgettable experience of beauty and tranquility, blending nature, tradition, and seasonal charm.

Enjoy a Cup of Coffee in a Meiji-Era House at Blue Bottle Coffee in Kyoto

Every time I visit Japan, I always make sure to have a cup of coffee at Blue Bottle Coffee☕️ This time, I went to the Rokkaku branch in Kyoto Originally a Meiji-era building that housed the 'Tsujimori Bicycle Company,' It has been renovated to coexist with the century-old bicycle shop🚲 The interior features mainly wooden decor, creating a strong vintage atmosphere The first floor is the ordering area and sells Blue Bottle-related products The second floor is the main seating area, where the aroma of coffee blends with the wooden furniture It truly lives up to the reputation of a literary coffee shop!

Motorikyu Nijo castle garden

Motorikyu Nijo castle garden

During my trip in Kyoto I visited the Motorikyu Nijo castle garden and enjoyed the views of the garden and had a nice long walk . The garden was huge and filled with so many flowers. As it was only May, there were rarely any pretty hydrangeas yet. If you love these flowers will suggest to go in June as they will bloom and the entire castle and the garden will be so much nicer. There are lots of pretty places in the garden to take pictures and you can gawk at the nice flowers. Also an entrance fee is required and you can top it up to enter the castle as well.

A collection of maple viewing spots more beautiful than Rurikoin Temple.

If you visit Kyoto in the fall, and want to recommend a maple route 🍁, it must be: 1️⃣ Sanzen-in Temple Sanzen-in Temple is located in the mountains and forests of northern Kyoto, and there are many ancient trees 🌲 in the temple. When the maple season comes 🍁, different kinds of maple trees present a variety of colors, and the scenery is breathtaking. ⏰: 09:00–17:00 🎫: JPY 700 2️⃣ Kifune Shrine Located in the mountains of northern Kyoto, it is full of sacred atmosphere and is the head shrine of about 500 Kifune Shrines in Japan. It is a shrine for praying for rain and cooking, and also enshrines the god of marriage, which is very popular among young couples 😍 🍁 When you come to Kifune Shrine in autumn, don't forget to write your wish on a maple-shaped ema and hang it up ☺️ 3️⃣ My favorite part of the Arashiyama trip is the Sagano Romantic Train! 🚂 The Arashiyama Romantic Train is a sightseeing train that runs along the Hozu River, where you can enjoy the cherry blossoms and fresh greenery in spring 🌸; the sound of cicadas in summer; the gorgeous maple leaves in autumn 🍁; the snow in winter, and the beauty of the Hozu River Valley in all four seasons.

Kyoto (Fushimi Inari)

Kyoto never stops fascinating visitors with the extraordinary townscape with beautiful shrines and temples. It used to be an ancient capital of Japan until Tokyo took over its place and became the largest center of economy and politics. Walking around the scenic town will take you to world-famous historic sites such as Arashiyama, a peaceful area known for the stunning bamboo grove. Kiyomizudera is a sacred Buddhist temple designated as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. Another highlight you should not miss is Fushimi Inari a Shinto shrine situated at the base of Mt. Inari. The scenic shrine is visited by numerous tourists from around the world as the most popular tourist attraction in Kyoto. It welcomes visitors with Senbon-torii (千本鳥居), which literally refers to a thousand of red Torii gates creating a stunning scenery. Visiting there in the early morning will enable you to take stunning pictures of beautiful Tori gates without crowds. It is also a perfect hiking spot which allows you to explore the mysterious and sacred shrine grounds while feeling the refreshing air. #themeparks

Kyoto | the most iconic spot that you can’t miss with your kimono😍

Fushimi Inari is such an icon of Kyoto recently that everyone must visit when travelling to this charming city and of course it has been one of the major highlights of my trip⛩️ We decided to dress in Kimono to come to this famous spot from a rental nearby and it’s the best decision! All the photos are super beautiful here and you will easily spend hours walking around and taking photos! When you follow the path to head back down, there is also a japanese tea shop where you can chill and enjoy their authentic drinks. I highly recommend it to you guys! It’s very famous to capture the thousands of shrine gates and people tend to arrive as early as possible to capture without the crowds. But we headed to that spot at 3pm and just by taking photos on the left side instead of the right, you will have photos of only you and the shrine gates at the background just like the first photo! 📍Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kyoto #timetotravel #japan #境外遊 #kyoto

Nanzen-ji Temple is the most relaxing and effortless place to enjoy the red leaves in Kyoto.

Nanzen-ji Temple is the most relaxing and effortless place to enjoy the red leaves in Kyoto.

When it comes to enjoying the red leaves in Kyoto in autumn, the Internet is full of popular scenic spots such as Rurikoin Temple. Rurikoin Temple is indeed beautiful, but it is far from the city center, inconvenient to reach, expensive, and crowded. In fact, you don't have to go to Rurikoin Temple, which is so far away. Nanzen-ji Temple in Kyoto is very beautiful. Nanzen-ji Temple itself does not require a ticket, but some areas require a separate ticket, but the free area is worth visiting. 📷Popular photo spots 1️⃣The gate after entering The gate is very grand, and there are beautiful views in front of and behind the gate. If you want to go upstairs, you need to buy a separate ticket. 2️⃣Tenju-an Temple The view from the main hall of Tenju-an Temple is very beautiful and is not inferior to the window view of Rurikoin Temple. 3️⃣Suirokaku Aqueduct The aqueduct is above, and the perspective of the arch below the aqueduct is very beautiful. It is a popular location for many Japanese TV dramas. 4️⃣Blue Bottle Coffee Blue Bottle Coffee is not in Nanzen-ji Temple, but not far from the gate. It is not far to walk, and the environment is very good, but there are many people. 🎫Ticket information Nanzen-ji Temple is free Tenju-an Temple ticket: JPY 400
