Introduction Skiing in Hokkaido

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate

Hokkaido is an ideal choice for skiing enthusiasts. From December to March of the following year, the unique geographical and climatic conditions here create a high-quality environment for skiing. Hokkaido's mountainous terrain provides a variety of terrains for the site selection of ski resorts, with beginner, intermediate and advanced slopes to meet the needs of skiers of different levels.

Powder snow is a highlight of skiing in Hokkaido. The snow is fine and soft, making the sliding experience particularly comfortable. Sapporo, Furano and other ski resorts are well-known. In these ski resorts, you can enjoy the thrill of speeding and the magnificent snow scenery covered in silver. The mountains in the distance are set off by the white snow. In addition to skiing, you can also experience Japanese hot springs, which are warm and comfortable, and deeply feel the unique charm of Hokkaido in winter.

Special Moments of Winter Travel in Sapporo & Otaru

The winter in Sapporo and Otaru was as beautiful as a scene from a fairy tale. In Sapporo, walking through the snow-covered Odori Park, we could admire the fantastic snow sculptures of the Sapporo Snow Festival. The cityscape covered in white snow was truly romantic, and a bowl of warm miso ramen felt even more special in the cold weather. In Otaru, the most memorable moment was walking along the canal. The canal illuminated by soft lights on a winter night was incredibly romantic, and the snow-covered streets looked like a scene from a movie. Walking through the streets of Otaru, filled with small glass craft shops and music box stores, made time feel like it was passing slowly. The winter trip to Sapporo and Otaru left warm memories, and I wish to experience the beauty of this place once again.

Hakodate|You are truly breathtaking.

Hakodate|You are truly breathtaking.

My favorite place in Hokkaido besides Otaru A tranquil seaside town like this Can definitely gain more recognition in Hokkaido There are no specific attractions, just wandering around will surprise you I really resist the kind of stressful itinerary where you have to take photos and edit them everywhere Strolling around casually and relaxing Everywhere is naturally beautiful, making you feel happy and refreshed I really recommend everyone to come and spend two days here One day is really not enough Also, the seaside wind is indeed very strong, it feels colder than Sapporo and Otaru As for the Joker Burger... it doesn't taste very good, I kind of miss the McSpicy Chicken Burger

Solo in Hokkaido, Japan

Location - Situated at the northernmost of Japan which is the second largest island of the country. Attractions - Visited Sapporo(the largest city in Hokkaido) and Matsumae. Everyone is so friendly and comfortable most probably due to their culture and respect mannerism. Food - Definitely go for the fresh seafood such as the uni(sea urchin) of Rishiri and Rebun. Try on the donburi(rice bowl) with fresh uni, ika(squid) and ikura(salmon roe) on top of it for breakfast, gonna love them😄. Not forgetting, Sapporo Ramen is a must to have while in Hokkaido😊. #solotravel #travelwithgeo #travelphotography #travelinspiration #japantravel #hokkaidotravel

The Ōta Jinja

The Ōta Jinja

It is a mountain sacred site with the oldest history in Hokkaido, and is said to have been founded during the reign of Kakichi (1441-1443) in a cave near the summit of Mt. Ota (485m above sea level), which towers over a cliff. In the past, the Ainu people living in this area called the mountain spirit ''Otakamoi" and worshiped it as the guardian deity of Ezochi. In 1453, Nobuhiro Takeda, the founder of the Matsumae domain, landed in the Ota area and saw the Ainu people praying towards the mountain, so he climbed the mountain himself and discovered that there was a spirit inside the cave. It is said that this belief began in 1454 when he gave the honorific title of 'Ota Daigongen" and spread the word to people widely.

Hokkaido 3D2N - Lavender, Lavender, and Flower

Looking for a perfect summer escape in Japan, where you can beat the heat and take endless photos in gorgeous lavender fields? Welcome to Hokkaido! ❤️ We traveled from Tokyo, taking shinkansen (thanks to our JR Pass) from Tokyo Station to Hakodate, and then onward to Sapporo. If you're short on time, you might want to consider flying directly into Chitose Airport. The moment we arrived in Hokkaido, we felt an immediate sense of comfort. In the summer, Sapporo's temperature was a pleasant 22-23°C, making it the perfect retreat from the heat. 🗓️Itinerary Scheduling Since we only had a few days in Hokkaido, here’s our itinerary: Day 1: Travel to Sapporo via train. Relax and explore the city at a leisurely pace. Day 2: Spend the day in Furano, where the endless lavender fields will leave you in awe. Visit the famous Furano Lavender Field and the vibrant Shikisai no Oka, known for its beautiful flower gardens. You’ll want your camera ready for this one! Day 3: Start the day with a visit to the Asahi Beer Museum and then indulge your sweet tooth at Shiroi Koibito Park. Afterward, take a trip to the charming coastal town of Otaru before heading back to Tokyo. #japantrip

Winter Walks: Hokkaido is a Winter Wonderland

Winter Walks: Hokkaido is a Winter Wonderland

The snow in Hokkaido is a love letter from winter to the world. The snowflakes fall like stars, gently covering the earth. The distant mountains, draped in white, stand quietly between heaven and earth, guarding this icy kingdom. - As a photographer who visits Hokkaido every year to shoot the snow, I have gradually stopped using my camera in recent years. I prefer to travel light and take photos with my phone. Share your winter photos with us! -

Hokkaido Dairy Farm

Hokkaido Dairy Farm

In the dairy farms of Hokkaido, the morning sunlight filters through the thin mist, illuminating the snow-covered ground. Cows leisurely stroll through the snow, occasionally letting out low moos. Surrounding them are snow-covered trees, creating a dreamy winter scene. The farm buildings exude a warm atmosphere, with smoke rising from the chimneys, accompanied by the fresh scent of milk, evoking a sense of harmony between nature and life. The tranquility and beauty here are truly enchanting.

Hokkaido, Japan

Hokkaido, Japan's largest island, is renowned for its stunning natural landscapes and rich culinary delights. I had the privilege of visiting this enchanting land last autumn, and here is my travel experience. First, the natural scenery of Hokkaido is breathtaking. I visited Asahiyama Zoo, where I saw polar bears, penguins, and arctic foxes living freely on the vast snowy plains. In Hokkaido, hot springs are a major highlight. I went to the Toyako Onsen in the Noboribetsu area and enjoyed a day of relaxation and soaking in the hot springs. Watching the steam rise from the hot springs by the lake, with endless mountains in the distance, I felt the tranquility and mystery of nature. Hokkaido is also a food paradise. I tried the local fresh seafood, especially live sea urchins and fresh scallops, which were simply unforgettable. Additionally, Hokkaido's dairy products are exceptional. I tasted locally made ice cream and cheese, which had a rich and delightful flavor.😍😍
