Introduction Xichang Sunrise

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate
Xichang is known as the Sunshine City for its rich light and heat resources. It is an ideal place to watch the sunrise. The beauty of Xichang's sunrise lies not only in the change of colors, but also in its tranquility and peace. In the early morning, Qionghai Lake welcomes the shining morning light. The lake surface of the wetland park is sparkling and golden. The morning glow fills the sky in the distance, and the scenery is charming. Standing on the top of Lushan Mountain, the sun rises slowly from the east, and the light gradually fills the mountains and Qionghai Lake below. The scenery is very spectacular. As the sun gradually rises, the whole city seems to be gently awakened. The mountains in the distance, the lakes nearby, and the scattered buildings all become vivid and full of vitality under the morning light. Here you can feel this gift from nature with a sincere heart and burst out with full energy.

Qionghai's 'Golden Coast' - Jinlin Beach

Qionghai's 'Golden Coast' - Jinlin Beach

Heading south along the east coast of Qionghai, cycling between the mountains and the lake is refreshing, and the scene that appears next is even more eye-catching. Between the green mountains and the lake, a golden flat land lies horizontally, which is the golden coast of Qionghai - Jinlin Beach. Jinlin Beach can be described as a wonder of Qionghai. No one would have thought that such a beautiful beach could be formed on the shore of this plateau lake. Walking on Jinlin Beach, you can listen to the sound of the lake hitting the shore, and see the golden beach and the palm trees on it. Looking at the people sunbathing in swimsuits, you will think that you have come to the seaside in a trance. When you come back to your senses, you suddenly realize that the place where you are is thousands of miles away from the nearest sea, and you can't help but marvel at the magic of nature and feel more magical about the scene in front of you. The lakeshore where Jinlin Beach is located is also one of the flattest areas on the east coast of Qionghai. Not only is there a beach here, but there are also hotels and holiday resorts. If you are a self-driving tourist, it is highly recommended to drive here and stay for one or two nights. It will definitely be worthwhile.

Encounter a natural oxygen bar by Qionghai Lake - Luoji Mountain

Encounter a natural oxygen bar by Qionghai Lake - Luoji Mountain

Explore Liangshan, Sichuan | The fairyland-like Qionghai Lake and Luoji Mountain🏞️✨🌅 🔥Location📍: Xichang City, Sichuan Province, China, about 4 hours' drive from Chengdu🌁. 😌A great choice for a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city! Let's explore this mysterious and beautiful land together.☀️🤩 🌊[Qionghai Lake] - Known as the "Hawaii of China", the lake is crystal clear, and the scenery along the lake is picturesque. Here you can go boating and bird watching, or take a walk along the lake to enjoy a peaceful time🚣‍♀️🐦. At night, you can also enjoy the gorgeous sunset reflecting on the sea, forming golden waves💕. ⛰️[Luoji Mountain] - A magical mountain only a dozen kilometers away from Qionghai Lake, it is a paradise for many hiking enthusiasts due to its unique geological structure and dense virgin forest🔝👣. After climbing to the top of the mountain, you can overlook the magnificent scenery of the entire Qionghai Lake and explore the ancient glacier relics and rare animal and plant resources~~🐉 🎈Tips: (The following are my personal experiences and insights, I hope they can help you!) ① It is recommended to book a tour with a travel agency one week in advance, and it is more worry-free and labor-saving to have a tour guide, and the price is also more fair and reasonable😊 ② If you have high requirements for accommodation, you can choose a high-end hotel or a characteristic homestay to experience a different style and cultural atmosphere🌟 ③ Don't forget to bring sunscreen and enough drinking water just in case‼️

Who can resist Xichang in July?

Who can resist Xichang in July?

If you missed Xichang in early spring, you definitely shouldn't miss it in July! Here's a guide to traveling in Xichang. Today is the Torch Festival, the grandest festival of the year in Xichang. Seeing it in person is truly breathtaking 🎆 🚄 Transportation: The best way to get from Chengdu to Xichang is by high-speed train. Make sure to book your tickets in advance. Many locals return home to prepare for the festival, so I booked early. It worked out well for the two of us 💪 🌞 Weather: Xichang isn't too hot at this time of year, so get your photo-ready outfits ready 💝 🏠 Accommodation: Of course, we stayed at the Moonlight Town in the Xichang Jizhou Island branch! I chose the Shuxia Hotel in Xichang, a high-end hotel. The room had a terrace where you could sit and watch Qionghai Lake. There's also a café, perfect for taking photos. 🍚 Food: I highly recommend the Xiaoyucun BBQ 🍻. It's very unique, and any place you choose will have great flavors. If you can't handle spicy food, make sure to ask for mild spice. The must-try dish is the grilled fish slices. I can eat 20 skewers by myself! 😍😍😍 For breakfast, try the beef rice noodles. Be sure to add mint—it's unforgettable.

A Must Go To Lake in Xichang🇨🇳

#timetotravel We went to Xichang for a company retreat and we were given 1 day to just explore the place. We didn't intend to come to this beautiful place but we stumbled upon it and we thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing walk especially feeling the breeze coming from the lake. You can also rent a bike if you are not fond of walking . We did both because there are some areas that bikes aren't allowed. There are many placea for you to eat in around the lake so it is very convenient. We walked quite far from the main scenic area so there weren't a lot of tourists around us. If you like to admire the beauty of nature alon and without a lot of people around then I suggest not to linger in the main scenic spot. #mytripvlog #tripblazers #lakes #chinatravel #attraction

Xichang is a great place to visit, but once is enough!

Xichang is a great place to visit, but once is enough!

If you're planning a trip to Xichang, be sure to pack sunscreen. The UV rays are strong there, and the weather is quite hot, so wear light clothing. Most of the tourist attractions are around Qionghai Lake, and you can visit them all in two or three days! 🚗Transportation: It takes about three hours by high-speed train from Chengdu. I chose a hard sleeper train, which took a little over five hours. It was like the business class of a high-speed train and more affordable. Once you arrive in Xichang, you can take a taxi (which is more expensive) or the No. 106 bus, a special tourist line that goes around the lake. There's also the K111 bus that goes directly to Xiaoyucun Fishing Village, where you can enjoy local barbecue (the bus is more cost-effective). -Day 1: (I arrived in the afternoon) I checked in near Qionghai 17 Degrees. You can rent a bike inside the scenic area and cycle along the lake, visit Jinlin Beach, and stroll through the Moonlit Town. In the evening, I went to the local Xiaoyucun Fishing Village for barbecue. It was super affordable and delicious. Day 2: I took the No. 106 bus and got off at the Lushan stop. You can take the cable car up the mountain for 35 RMB per person (I recommend taking the sightseeing bus, which is only 5 RMB per person). You can visit the Slave Museum, but we took the bus directly to the top of the mountain due to time constraints. Be careful of the monkeys on the mountain; they might snatch your bag, so it's best to carry a stick. Further up, you can visit Guangfu Temple and other ancient temples and enjoy a panoramic view of Qionghai Lake. We chose to take the slide down the mountain, which cost 40 RMB per person (a bit pricey, but quite thrilling). In the afternoon, we went to Dashiban Ancient Village. The red walls of Lingyin Temple are perfect for photos, and it's mostly people taking portrait photos there. Apart from taking pictures, there isn't much else to do. Then, we went to Jianchang Ancient City to experience the local culture. (Most attractions are free.) 😍Local specialties: Handmade Liangfen, Xiaoyucun barbecue, Huopen barbecue, Liangshan burgers, Drunken Shrimp, and Liangshan Xue (the fruit there is quite sweet, and strawberries are only 5 yuan per kilogram, which is a good deal). Day 3: We slept in, then went to the farmers market to buy souvenirs, such as Yi embroidery and Jianchang pressed duck. After that, we packed our bags and headed back. Hotel recommendations🏨 Luxury: Qionghai Hotel, excellent location by Qionghai Lake, beautiful scenery, luxurious facilities, and attentive service. Comfort: JI Hotel, clean and comfortable rooms, attentive service, great value for money, and convenient transportation. Budget: Xichang Koala Hostel, affordable, good atmosphere, suitable for solo travelers or budget-conscious tourists.

Traveling solo, I encountered my truest self.

Traveling solo, I encountered my truest self.

I met a Didi driver in Xishuangbanna. He said, "Girl, you're traveling alone?! You must be a loner." His tone was rather judgmental. I replied, "Well, I have the time and money, so I can go wherever I want. (None of your business)" Solo travel is an experience free from scrutiny. I can wear elaborate makeup or go comfortably casual. I can bravely paddleboard or timidly watch from the shore. I can persevere to the mountaintop to see the stars or give up halfway and say "next time." No one's opinions or perspectives can sway my decisions. My own desires and feelings always take precedence. No matter how small the emotion, it is gently and properly acknowledged. In unfamiliar surroundings, it's easier to drop the mask. Perhaps because we'll eventually be lost in the sea of people, there's no need to pretend. No need to be clever, no need to be perfect. Away from the fixed tracks, order, and rules, I can confront my own kindness, naivety, gentleness, pride, selfishness, childishness, weakness, and humility. Imperfect, but good. And I forgive and accept this good self. Some say that when you travel, you can be anyone. I believe that while the narratives may differ, the core is the same. True self meets true self, sincerity meets sincerity. Resonating souls will meet in the gaps of the vast sea of people. In such intersections, farewells, and even longings, we find self-healing and healing for others. Shi Tiesheng's description is incredibly delicate: "Everything on that journey, some brushed past me and went their separate ways, while others permanently settled into my soul, carving me, shaping me, tempering me, merging with me and becoming me." Go out, see the world, see all beings, see yourself.

Dashi Ban Village, Xichang City, Liangshan State

Dashi Ban Village, Xichang City, Liangshan State

🌟Highlights: Lingying Temple, with its unique architectural color, different from the red walls and yellow tiles, has its own characteristics, and the photos taken are very impressive. 🚉Travel Tips: Take the Xichang Tourist Loop bus, or rent an electric scooter🛵. The general price is between 60 and 80 per day. It's also very convenient for self-driving, with many parking lots available. 🗓Itinerary: It takes about 2 to 3 hours to visit. If you're not in a hurry, you can find a small shop to sit and have a coffee or something. Find a restaurant for lunch, the prices are relatively cheap, the basic specialty is fish. In the afternoon, you can go to the Jinlin Beach🏖️, which is about 4.5 kilometers away from here. If you drive, don't follow the navigation, the location guided by the navigation needs to walk about two or three kilometers to get there. It is recommended to navigate to Qinglong Temple, and after arriving, drive a little further to find a parking lot, from there it's about 700 meters to Jinlin Beach. 🧳Preparation: Generally, check the temperature before departure. When we went, it was 17 degrees. Wearing a base shirt and a sweater is enough, but you'll need to add a coat🧥 after the sun sets in the afternoon. 💰Average cost: Both places do not require tickets🎫. The cost is for lunch at noon, and the cold noodles eaten on the beach in the afternoon, which cost 10 yuan per serving.

Qionghai Lake

Qionghai Lake

Qionghai Park is a great place to enjoy the sea and sunbathe. Jinlin Beach is the best place to watch the sunset. The unique orange walls of Lingying Temple in Dashiban Ancient Town attract many tourists to take photos. The bus around the lake connects the scenic spots along Qionghai Lake, which is very convenient. Bus 106 also goes to most of the scenic spots, but note that the fare is charged by section, and you need to scan the code when getting on and off the bus.

Climbing Lushan Mountain

Climbing Lushan Mountain

🌈Highlights: It takes about 2 hours to climb from Guangfu Temple, and 3–4 hours for a round trip. There are no cable cars or slides along the way! The beauty of Lushan Mountain lies in the perfect fusion of lake and mountain scenery. There are many monkeys from the moment you enter the mountain. They are not afraid of people and do not scratch people, which is much better than Mount Emei. They are mainly distributed along the road from Guangfu Temple to Sanqing Hall, and you can hardly see them after that. The view of Xichang City from the top of the mountain is so beautiful that you must go and see it! 🎟️Tickets: Free 🕐️Opening hours: 24 hours 💗Other tips: There is a vegetarian meal at Guangfu Temple at 11:00 for CNY 20. You must go early. Although it is written that it is available until 13:30, they do not replenish the food once it is finished, so if you go late, there will be nothing to eat. Dinner is at 17:30 at Guangfu Temple for CNY 12. Basically, whatever is available at noon is available in the evening. You eat with the staff of the scenic area, so you must go on time, otherwise, they will close the door after they finish eating. Breakfast is at 7:30 and costs CNY 2. You have to wash your own dishes here. The slide and cable car tickets for Lushan Mountain do not reach the top of the mountain, only halfway up the mountain, where the hiking trail begins. It is not very meaningful, as it only takes a quarter of an hour to walk from the mountain gate to the hiking point at Guangfu Temple. Most of the temples on the mountain have viewing platforms, but the climbing difficulty increases after Sanqing Temple. The rest of the way is almost all steps, and it takes about an hour to reach the top of the mountain.
