I had such a great time in Auckland—there was so much to see and do! Visiting Hobbiton was definitely a highlight; seeing the iconic movie set in real life was incredible. Exploring Auckland’s city centre was just as fun, with great food, stunning waterfront views, and plenty of hidden gems to discover. Then, heading over to Waiheke Island was the perfect way to unwind, beautiful beaches, amazing wineries, and the most breathtaking coastal scenery. It was the perfect mix of adventure, city life, and relaxation!

After walking around Auckland, it feels like a smaller version of Sydney. It is also a harbor city, with ferries and great views of the CBD. A day of city walking starts at the Sky Tower. This TV tower seems to be the tallest building in the city and can be seen from anywhere. Not far from the Sky Tower is St. Matthew's Cathedral. The granite exterior walls are quiet and beautiful, but not too stunning. A few hundred meters from the church is the Auckland Art Gallery.
