In the heart of Brescia, a small city between Milan and Verona, Italy, stands a 13th-century palace adorned with frescoes from 1750. Since 2017, under the direction of curator and founder Edoardo Monti, the palace has been transformed into a residential space open to the public, named Palazzo Monti, and has hosted over 200 artists. In this project, the splendor of Baroque architecture merges with the pop-up hotel concept of Danish design brand Vipp, presenting a new dimension to Palazzo Monti. Meticulously designed by Danish interior designer Julie Cloos Molsgaard, this project has become a livable space akin to an art installation. As the seventh completed project in the Vipp Hotel series, it showcases a brand-new deconstructed hotel concept. This project embodies the exploration of leading architects and designers in architectural prototypes, transforming a historic building into a unique travel destination. "Our collection of guesthouses includes a loft apartment and a series of hotels converted from shelters, factories, and farmhouses. Now, in April, a microcosm of European design, we are adding a palace to this unique hotel collection. We are always committed to creating carefully curated design experiences for the public. At Vipp Palazzo Monti, this experience reaches a whole new dimension," says Kasper Egelund, third-generation owner and CEO of Vipp.

It was a trip to Brescia, Italy. We recently visited this charming city in northern Italy 🇮🇹 and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to explore an off-the-beaten-path Italian destination that’s brimming with character 🙌 We started our day in Piazza della Loggia, the heart of Brescia’s historic center. This stunning square is surrounded by beautiful Renaissance architecture, including the elegant Loggia Palace, which is a perfect spot for photos 📸 The central fountain adds a serene touch to the scene, and the columns and arches of the palace are ideal for capturing the essence of Brescia. Early morning ☀️ is the best time to visit, as the square is peaceful and the soft sunlight filters through the arches, creating great photo opportunities without the crowds 🙌 📍Piazza della Loggia, 25121 Brescia BS, Italy. We then made our way up to the Brescia Castle 🏰 (Castello di Brescia), which sits atop Cidneo Hill. The castle offers panoramic views of the entire city, and we couldn’t resist snapping a few photos from the top 📸 The castle 🏰 itself is a fantastic subject, with its imposing walls, historic towers, and beautiful gardens. We also visited the Museum of the Castle, which houses impressive collections and offers additional photo ops, particularly in the medieval section. We also explored the Roman Forum and the impressive Capitoline Temple, one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in northern Italy 🇮🇹 The Roman Forum offers fantastic opportunities for photography 📸 with its ancient stone columns and ruins set against the backdrop of modern Brescia. The Capitoline Temple, in particular, stands out with its stunning classical architecture. We enjoyed wandering around the ruins, and it was the perfect spot to capture the contrast between ancient history and contemporary life in the city 🙌 📍Foro Romano, 25121 Brescia BS, Italy. We also took a short drive 🚗 to Lago di Garda, just a short distance from Brescia. The lake at sunset 🌇 is simply stunning, and we spent time walking along the shore, snapping pictures 📸 of the colorful reflections in the water as the sun set behind the mountains ⛰️ The lake, surrounded by charming villages and lush greenery, offers endless photo opportunities, from intimate lakeside shots to panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Visitors to Northern Italy are often drawn to the famous cities of Milan, Verona and Venice or to its lakes and mountains. One of the most overlooked spots in the region seems to be the city of Brescia. #100WaysOfTravel **Day Trip to Brescia with Friends from Milan** Our day trip from Milan to Brescia with friends was the perfect mix of sightseeing, relaxing, and enjoying good food. We took a morning train from Milan (about an hour ride), and it felt like the ideal way to explore a new city without needing to stay overnight. ### Morning * **First Stop: Piazza della Loggia** Arriving in Brescia, we strolled over to **Piazza della Loggia**. This square had a charming vibe with its Renaissance architecture and open cafes. We grabbed coffee at a nearby café, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere and admiring the famous Clock Tower with its old-world charm. * **Exploring the Cathedrals** After the square, we headed to **Piazza Paolo VI** to see the **Duomo Vecchio** and **Duomo Nuovo**. The contrast between the old, round Romanesque Duomo Vecchio and the Baroque-style Duomo Nuovo was impressive. Walking through these unique cathedrals felt like stepping back in time. ### Afternoon * **Roman Ruins of the Capitolium** One of the trip highlights was visiting the **Capitolium** and the nearby **Roman Theatre**. The ancient ruins added a touch of history, and we spent some time wandering around, taking photos, and learning about Brescia’s rich past. * **Lunch and Italian Fare** For lunch, we found a cozy trattoria with a delicious spread of pasta and local wines. We all agreed the food was top-notch – simple, fresh, and flavorful. ### Afternoon Walk and Castello di Brescia * **Castello di Brescia** In the afternoon, we hiked up to the **Castello di Brescia**. The views over the city and surrounding mountains were stunning, and it was a great spot to relax and take more photos. The castle itself was impressive, with medieval architecture and a beautiful garden. * **Wrapping Up the Day** We ended the trip with a gelato in one of the local gelaterias, soaking in the last bit of Brescia’s relaxed charm. Catching the train back to Milan, we all agreed that Brescia is a hidden gem with just the right balance of history, beauty, and a laid-back vibe – the perfect day escape from Milan!

The place that Italians say is boring, but it is really worth a visit - Brescia. BYG Airport > Brescia. 1h 20 mins The city's attractions are concentrated, including the Corridoio UNESCO Brescia, a Roman Empire relic built in the first century, which is close to the theater and church. If you have time, you can visit the museum. Biblioteca Queriniana is free of charge and looks very modern upon entering. However, once you enter the reading area, you will be amazed by the various exquisite murals and hundreds of years old books (which cannot be touched due to protective measures). If I studied here, my grades would probably be better. The old and new cathedrals are right next door. The old cathedral has a sunken design. Once you step into the church, you will immediately feel it is very spacious. The decoration inside the church cannot be described simply as gorgeous, it is really exquisite. Traveling in Italy can cure shoulder and neck pain, as you will always look up to admire the various murals.

Monte Isola is a small island in Brescia, Italy🇮🇹. First, take the ferry⛴️ to the island, with a ticket price of 7 euros per person for a round trip. It takes about 2 hours to walk around the entire island, which boasts beautiful scenery. You can also cycle around. The island is very peaceful, highly recommended! Brescia, Province of Brescia

I admit that I didn’t know much about Brescia back in the early 2000s, other than the fact that Roberto Baggio was playing there towards the end of his career. Now that I have started exploring Italy in-depth, I start to appreciate the country and the football knowledge that I had when I was young more and more. Located in Lombardy, Brescia has one of the largest Roman archeological sites in Northern part of Italy. Even if you don’t feel like staying here for too many days, the fact that it is located between Bergamo and Verona makes it a good pit-stop when you are crossing states and traveling from Lombardy to Veneto. #bucketlistreboot #italy

Brescia city is never included in the itinerary of foreign tourist when visiting Italy , shadowed by the nearby milan and Verona city . but that’s too bad cause Brescia is an hidden jewel ! lots of interesting museums , ruins , architecture , amazing and cozy restaurants and lots of places where to do some good shopping. i definitely recommend a visit of 1,2 days ! conveniently located near milan , Verona , and just a short train ride to the famous Garda lake

#外游 Italy's most prestigious antique car parade/road rally, the Mille Miglia, is held every year around mid-May. Start in Brescia in the north, then go south, around Rome, and back to Brescia. The event lasted for several days and passed through many cities. It also attracted many friends who like antique cars to enjoy them along the way... That day, the whole city was filled with the sound of engines from antique cars and the cheers of the crowd, creating a very unique urban movement. The terminal station was outside the castle on the hill of Brescia. On the last day, there were two rows of antique cars parked here, which was really eye-opening for the onlookers. #ItalyTravel #EuropeanTravel #OverseasTravel

#外游 On Piazza Paolo VI, Brescia's main square, there are two very important churches. One of the newer ones is the new cathedral, the Duomo Nuovo (formally called Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta). Construction of this church began in 1604 and took more than a hundred years to finally be completed in 1825. The reason was that the plague broke out around 1630 and construction was stopped. The interior is in the shape of a Greek cross, very grand and solemn.
