Waterfalls and Mountain Air at Cascadas de La Larri
Cascadas de La Larri in Huesca, Aragon, is one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a nature documentary. The hike up is relaxed yet still gives you a sense of adventure, with pine forests, rivers, and breathtaking views of the valley along the way. When you finally reach the waterfalls, it’s pure magic.
The cascades flow down in layers, with crystal-clear water splashing over the rocks. You can get quite close, and the icy water is incredibly refreshing if you dip your hands in. I found a rock to sit on, enjoyed a snack, and simply listened to the soothing sound of the water while watching clouds drift over the mountains. It was so peaceful.
It’s not overly crowded either, especially if you go early. The trail begins at the Valle de Pineta, so you’re treated to double the natural beauty. Be sure to bring water, sturdy shoes, and something to sit on. Cascadas de La Larri is one of those nature spots that will linger in your dreams long after you’ve left.
