Coastal Town with a Dash of Everything
#summervacay Vigo, baby! This coastal gem in Galicia’s Pontevedra province totally surprised me, in the best way. It’s got that perfect mix of city buzz and seaside chill. One second you’re walking past modern shops and cute cafés, the next you’re staring at the Atlantic with fresh seafood in your hand.
The old town (Casco Vello) is super charming, with narrow streets and cozy vibes. I legit got lost in the best way possible. Oh, and the seafood? Insane. Oysters straight from the market, grilled octopus, the whole deal.
If you’re into beaches, Samil Beach is a short ride away and it’s got everything, views, soft sand, and even a few beach bars if you’re feeling fancy. Plus, there are ferries to the Cíes Islands, which are actual paradise.
Honestly, Vigo isn’t super flashy, but it’s real, relaxed, and totally underrated. Perfect spot for wandering, snacking, and just soaking up that Galician coast energy.
