#AbsolutelyFreeTrip I went to Guanajuato, Mexico! Guanajuato is a city that has been approved by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism and is registered as a magical village called Pueblo Mágico. It is sometimes called a city that looks like a toy box turned upside down, and the cute streets are so lovely that you will feel excited just by walking around! It is also fun to get a panoramic view of the city from Pipila Hill and visit unusual museums such as the Mummy Museum. It is said that it was the model for the movie "Coco," so it is a must-see for movie fans.

These two destinations are worth spending a week or even more time to explore slowly—there's a good reason they're such popular tourist cities. Both historic centers are UNESCO World Heritage Sites and are far more beautiful than other Mexican cities. Although I took a bus from Querétaro to San Miguel, there's a local ride-sharing app called BlaBlaCar for intercity travel. Booking a day or two in advance is cheap, and the price is the same whether it's for one or two people. The best way to describe San Miguel is simply "gorgeous." The historic center isn't very large but is exceptionally charming. According to Lonely Planet, American hippies began moving to San Miguel as early as the 1950s—proof of how captivating it is. During a meal, I chatted with an elderly couple from Texas who retired and relocated here seven years ago. Many Americans are retiring in Mexico, and honestly, Latin America could totally be our final destination too. Guanajuato is a small mountain town with a historic center slightly larger than San Miguel's. This city is incredibly unique—every day, you navigate between above-ground streets and underground tunnels. The buildings are painted in candy-colored hues, brightening your mood just by looking at them. After sunset, groups of troubadours dressed in Renaissance attire lead tourists through the alleys, playing music and telling stories along the way. It's so special—I've never seen anything like it anywhere else.

#0yentrip My first trip to Mexico🇲🇽 It took 2 hours by bus from Guadalajara to Guanajuato. I recommend buying tickets from Primera Plus. It's an artsy town, so just walking around is fun. The tourist spots are clustered together and the city is small, so you can enjoy it within walking distance. The view from Mirador Hacia EI Pipila (Hill of Pipila) is spectacular. I recommend going to the lift before 5pm and then climbing up, so you can enjoy the daytime, sunset, and night views. (It gets crowded at this time, so it's best to head there a little earlier!) It was a wonderful town💖

🇲🇽Two-day guide to Guanajuato|||It was my first time to Mexico, so I arranged a 6-day tour of Mexico City + Guanajuato. The experience was unexpectedly good. Guanajuato in particular is built like a utopia during Christmas, with performances everywhere on the streets, making it very lively and suitable for all ages. 🌟How to get to Guanajuato from Mexico City Airplane ✈️! Fly from NLU (New Airport) to BJX. The hotel door to door only takes 4 hours, which saves a lot of time. We saw many guides that recommended taking the bus, but we felt that the bus was more difficult to control. First, it was slow. Plus, it normally took almost 7 hours to get to the bus station at both ends. In addition, the journey was long and we were afraid of accidents. 🌟Must-visit places (walking the whole way) - 📍Pipila Mountain Viewing Platform. Overlooking the whole city. Buy your ticket to go up the mountain at the place marked with the cable car in Figure 2. It is recommended to queue up early. It takes almost an hour to queue before sunset. It was dark when I went up for the first time. You can also walk up, but it's quite tiring. - 📍Teatro Juárez. Unfortunately I didn’t watch the show inside this time. I only looked at the outside. We didn’t have enough time when we arrived at the door and couldn’t go in. It is not recommended to take a taxi as it is too congested. The museum is on a mountain, and the last 1000 meters is a one-way street. It is very congested and you can only walk up, and walk down the mountain when you come back.
