Accommodation 🏠 If you go to Kanas, you must stay in a log cabin. It looks great in photos, and the area around the cabin is also very photogenic. I stayed at a guesthouse called Youzai Youzai, which was very nice! It even had a smart toilet, and the underfloor heating was adjustable. 📷 I mostly used the iPhone camera. You don't need a reflector in the snow! When the weather is good, the natural reflection of the sun on the snow makes your face look very clear, and you can take great photos without even trying. OOTD Hats, scarves, earmuffs, and sunglasses are essential for the atmosphere and warmth! It can be very cold when the wind blows on snowy days! But when the sun is out, it won't be too cold. Activities 🎿🐎 You have to ride a horse to Kanas Lake, or you can walk for about half an hour. Our guide helped us negotiate the price for the horse ride with the local herders. You can't come here and not try skiing! There is a ski resort in Hemu 🎿, which is very close to Kanas, but it wasn't open when I went, so I went to the ski resort in Koktokay.

Hemu Village in the Altai Mountains of Xinjiang is near the borders of Mongolia, Russia and Kazakhstan. Hemu is the most intact village of the Tuvan people, a branch of the Mongolian ethnic group, in China. Most of the more than 2,000 Tuvans live in wooden houses in this primeval forest. The small mountain village is located on a flat land surrounded by mountains on all sides, and there are rows of poplars and white birch trees around the village. On the small hillside surrounding Hemu Village, you can overlook the panoramic view of Hemu Village and Hemu River: ghostly empty valleys, flowing water under small bridges, and horse herders passing through the woods raising dust. The most famous thing about Hemu Village is the rising smoke, which forms a dreamy smoke belt that is better than a fairyland. Returning from the Kanas scenic area to the visitor center, the scenery along the way was picturesque. We passed through Duck Lake, where the water was like a mirror. Then we arrived at Shenxian Bay (Immortal Bay), as it was in the afternoon, there was no mist. Next was Moon Bay, where the lake water meandered through the valley, resembling a crescent moon. Finally, at Wolong Bay (Sleeping Dragon Bay), we experienced the vivid sight of a sleeping dragon playing in the lake.
