When it comes to white water rafting in Sabah, most people have heard of the exiciting Kiulu and Padas experiences, but only a select few are in on the thrilling secret of the Kedamaian River rafting in Kota Belud. Its like a hidden gem waiting to be explored! Here we came, having embarked on a weekend adventure with jusy about a 2 hours drive from Kota Kinabalu city. Graded 1-2 and was moderately adventurous and relaxing, spanning about 10 kilometers in length. The water was crystal clear and refreshing cool as its flow from the Mount Kinabalu. #wecreate healthy vibes when exploring the great outdoors! If climbing Mt Kinabalu is not for you, consider trekking the trails at Kinabalu Park. There are a variety of trails around the park, some are more challenging than others. The most friendly of them all was Silau-Silau which is mostly flat. Be mindful that the ground can be pretty soft if it has been raining and your shoes will get dirty! 🥹 Kiau View Trail has adequate ascent but is generally still pretty friendly. It crosses path with the Pandanus Trail which also has a little bit of ups and downs. The fresh air is just fantastic! About 2hours drive from Kota Kinabalu if there's no traffic jam or roadwork. Some are might be misty and as reach the place few dogs and cattle would chill out on road so be careful. The river overlooking the majestic view of Mount Kinabalu by 10am plus the mountains would shy away and cover itself with thick clouds. This pace is run by few families and keep place really clean. There's ample of parking space. Now one thing I don't like the river is rocky painful to the feet also the river is very shallow. Weekend is crowded with people. #sabah
