So when I had the opportunity to travel to the United States, I must visit the Old Fort Niagara, the oldest continuously occupied military site in North America. Niagara Fort, located on a cliff on the border of the United States and Canada, on the shore of Lake Ontario, adjacent to Niagara State Park. It was a defensive fortress built by the Frenchman Pierre Pouchot in 1726 to prevent Indian attacks.
