Double-Heart Stone Weir
The Double-Heart Stone Weir is located in Qimei, Penghu, and is a must-visit spot for many travelers to Penghu. This ancient fishing structure is built using coral stones and is shaped like two connected hearts, making it incredibly romantic and iconic when viewed from above. Originally used for fishing, it has now become a popular destination for couples to date, take photos, and even propose. The blue of the sea at the site is unbelievably stunning, and paired with the stone weir, it creates a surreal beauty. Especially during sunset, the atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking, and every photo taken here turns out gorgeous. The Double-Heart Stone Weir is not only visually striking but also evokes thoughts about how people in the past used their wisdom to coexist with nature. It’s truly a place that combines romance with cultural significance.

Dashilongcheng Scenic Area
#彭湖离岛
The Dashi Longcheng Scenic Area is a must-see when visiting Penghu! There is a big rock called Dashi that looks like a lion lying down. It is very spectacular. The long sea erosion platform next to it is Longcheng. It looks like a giant dragon winding into the sea. It is very shocking to take pictures. The basalt rocks are matched with the sound of waves. Standing there and watching really feels like being in a natural painting. The trail is not long and it is very easy to walk. Both the elderly and children can walk slowly. There are also stalls selling herbal tea and aiyu on site. It is also good to replenish water when you are tired. But pay attention to safety. Some places are windy and the ground is slippery, especially some areas on the observation deck are closed. Remember not to cross when taking pictures!

South Islet Castle
South Islet Castle is truly unique—one of those places that makes you stop and take a closer look. The entire city wall is built with basalt, giving it the appearance of a small ancient fortress. The archway designs are incredibly charming and photogenic from every angle. Legend has it that the Chen family ancestors built it to fend off pirates, and inside, there's a stone tablet that records the story of its construction, adding a rich historical touch. After recent renovations, the site is now open to visitors, complete with grassy areas and seating, making it a comfortable spot to stroll around, enjoy the breeze, take photos, or simply relax. It's best to visit in the evening when the lighting is stunning, creating a wonderfully chill atmosphere. If you're visiting Qimei Island and want to explore some local history beyond its natural scenery, South Islet Castle is definitely worth a quick stop. Even a short 20-30 minute visit will leave you feeling enriched!
