2025 Surigao del Sur Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in July)

this is probably one of my favorite trip! We did not have much but the fun that the nature gave us is incomparable! Sohoton and Siargao were one of the magnificent islands Philippines has. You can go to Siargao via plane. If you would go to Siargao via boat, it is quite risky and it will take you four hours to get there from the main island (Surigao City port). It will also cost you 7000 pesos which is a bit pricey and not practical at all---unless you travel with a group of 15 because the boat is huge only that you should not travel at night where waves are already quite big. we made a reservation in Kanlunes where we stayed for 2 nights. Each night costs us for 1,000pesos per hut and there would be 6 of us who could fit in the hut. #createwithtrip

The front desk is not available for 24/7. They are rude and accused us of stealing their property w/o solid proof . They have no trashcan designated for one room. Comfort rooms are common and not exclusive for each room. Their heater does not work. Amenities like tv have no channel, and wifi does not work.
