A mysterious museum
#tripmemory2022
The building with its distinctive shape was designed and constructed by architect Terunobu Fujimori.
The building, designed with the motif of a quarry where the raw materials for tiles are excavated, is large and mysterious, with a cute little entrance.
There are many things to see, such as a windowless building, a gaping hole in the building, and a staircase where light shines in.
The tile workshop can be booked, and you can make your own work, so I recommend it!
There was no time to meet for the experience on the day I went, so I bought a few tiles as a gift and used them for crafts at home.
From September 1, 2022, the reservation system for the 500 yen workshop will be lifted for weekday experience studios, and reservations will be required only on weekends and holidays.
Recommended for people who love #art and have a hobby of #diy and #handmade!

Tajimi Mosaic Museum Fujimori Architecture
#AutumnTravel #Trip2022 I went to Tajimi to visit Terunobu Fujimori's Mosaic Museum, which I had been wanting to visit.
The building is modeled after a clay mountain, and you can look at it forever.
There are stairs inside up to the 4th floor, but they are intentionally made a little thinner as you go further. The stairs are also made of straw and leaves...kneaded together with the soil.
The building is modeled after a clay mountain, but it reminded me of pottery and clay figurines.
Half of the 4th floor is unroofed, so you can enjoy the changes in the tiles depending on the weather. #
Of course, if it rains, the floor will get wet.
I had lunch with a drink at Swan Cafe.
It seems that workshops can be held at both Swan Cafe and the Mosaic Museum. I didn't have time to do it, but I bought some tiles to take home. It was a really fun day.

Relax in the autumn leaves and the tranquility of Zen♪ Visit Eihoji Temple with its beautiful gardens🍂
Eiho-ji Temple in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture, is a beautiful Zen temple with the national treasure Kannon Hall and Kaisan Hall. The pond-style garden, especially in autumn, is photogenic when it is covered in autumn leaves, making it the perfect spot for a moment of peace and calm. 🍁✨
The autumn leaves reflected in the pond that spreads across the temple grounds and the national treasure architecture are like a painting. There are relatively few people here, making it a hidden spot where you can enjoy the scenery in peace.
You can also freely stroll around the temple grounds, and we recommend sitting on a bench and relaxing. There are moss-covered stone pavements and bamboo forests, so no matter where you look, it's picturesque♪

[Gifu/Tajimi] A tourist spot designated as a national treasure! *Kokeizan Eihoji Temple*
I'd like to introduce you to Kokeizan Eihoji Temple, a tourist spot in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture. ✨
The name "Kokei" was apparently given to the temple because the scenery there resembles the Hukei River in Lushan, China! ⛰️
The temple grounds are very large and there are many things to see. In particular, the Kannon Hall and Kaisan Hall are important cultural properties designated as national treasures. ◎
When the autumn leaves season arrives, the temple is bustling with more people than usual! I also went there during the autumn leaves season, and I was impressed by the colorful scenery, with some leaves already turning red and others still green!

Eiboji Temple was built in the 16th century. Because it is somewhat similar to the Tiger Creek in Lushan Mountain in China, it is also called Tiger Creek Mountain. There are many lush trees near the temple. If you go there in spring or autumn, the flowers and red leaves will make the temple even more beautiful.

The exterior of the building is distinctive, and when you get close, you can see the fine tiles embedded in it, which is very beautiful.
In the indoor exhibition on the 4th floor, the ceiling is literally open, so you can look directly at the sky. On a nice day, the fine tiles sparkle in the natural light and are very beautiful. I recommend visiting on a nice day.

Nagoya 4 days and 3 nights free travel
#枫叶季
In early December, I took my kids on a four-day, three-night trip to Nagoya. The maple leaves there were really beautiful. We took a JR train directly from the airport to downtown Nagoya for dinner. There were many delicious foods to choose from on the 12th and 13th floors of Takashimaya. After dinner, we returned to the hotel to check in. For this trip, we chose Hotel Inuyama Intercontinental, which has a good environment. The next day we chartered a car to go to Eihoji Temple and Korankei. The scenery was very beautiful. The advantage of visiting Nagoya is that there are not so many people, so it is very suitable for bringing children. The next day, I took my child to Legoland, which is very suitable for young children. My six-year-old child had a lot of fun. All in all, this trip was very enjoyable. I look forward to visiting Tokyo next time.
Eihō-ji Temple, Gifu
Eihō-ji Temple in Gifu was founded in 1313, at the end of the Kamakura period, and is the earliest Zen Buddhist garden of this period. With a history of over 700 years, Eihō-ji Temple combines Chinese architectural styles and has withstood the test of time. The architectural aesthetics of the Kannon-dō and Kaisan-dō, which are designated as national treasures, are still impressive. The pond garden is quite unique, and the bridge pavilion built in the Wolong Pond in front of the Kannon-dō has become a precedent for Japanese bridge pavilions. In the courtyard, there is a tree over 700 years old with lush branches and leaves. The maple leaves in early winter are still green, and suddenly a fiery red dragonfly falls on the wall tiles in front of you, flying lightly like a flame, lighting up the picture of early winter.
