The trip to Route 66 for Labour Day in China was absolutely worth it! The view was stunning and the old fashioned cars made it even better for me. My friends and I visited and we managed to get some really good photos there. 100% recommend! During my recent trip to this area, I was fortunate enough to stay at the Lost Villa, a stunning boutique hotel that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of Zhongwei. One of the highlights of my trip was the desert safari adventure, which took us deep into the mesmerizing sand dunes of the Tengger Desert. Riding a camel, I felt like a true explorer, and the views of the vast landscape were breathtaking. The hotel arranged the tour for us, which was a seamless experience. Jinshahai Desert Theme Train Hotel is a great place to stay in Zhongwei. To move around this place and the area I recommend hiring a driver. You will be grateful especially for the air conditioning. You can perfectly plan to stay one or two nights of your holidays in this place to enjoy all the landmarks and activities. The hotel offers impeccable facilities and you can choose whether to stay in the train hotel in a wagon or stay in a tent in the middle of the dessert. Both options were amazing so we stayed in both LOL. The tents are very spacious and clean. The staff are friendly and offers a great service. Breakfast is included and not bad for the average price of the hotel. Zhongwei is a prefecture-level city of Ningxia province. The city is known for its wolfberry and Gobi watermelon cultivation. It is a desert 🏜 area with lots of sand dunes as you can see in the pictures. The hotel we stayed was a tend in the middle of the dessert but also there is a train which was converted in hotel rooms. this place is One of the world's largest photovoltaic power station, Tengger Desert Solar Park, is located in Zhongwei as well. you can also visit Sunflower 🌻 plantations and enjoy the landscape with lots of hills. Get to Zhongwei, Ningxia province China it is accessible by high- speed rail from Yinchuan or by air. The Air transport can be limited to some cities, Then find a taxi to Shapotou desert this takes up to 30 minutes. They is a desert and a whole lot of fun like riding the quad bike in the sand dunes. You can also take a ride on the back of a camel as you retrace the ancient Silk Road. Enjoy the desert accommodation by trying out the awesome tents in which you can book easily. The tents are very nice and comfortable and are suitable for couple as well as families Food & Restaurants - the cuisine in here is that of Northern China which has good delicious lamb. Getting There - take a bus from the train station and drop off anywhere in town. get a taxi to take you to the place .we used a taxi because its a bit out of zhongwei . when you get to the place they help you to get to the activity site with their own cars it was a pretty amazing ride ,the cars are so big and they thrill you up with speed in the desert .
