The War Records of the Egyptian Pharaoh—Medinet Habu

Medinet Habu is the mortuary temple of Ramses III and represents the pinnacle of ancient Egyptian war art. The reliefs on its walls depict the Pharaoh's glorious battle against the "Sea Peoples." Ancient Egypt built approximately 4,000 temples scattered along the Nile River basin. Today, only a few dozen remain accessible for visitors, most of which are located in southern Egypt.
