【Bangkok】Wat Paknam

I visited "Wat Paknam" in Bangkok! This temple was established during the Ayutthaya period and is also known as the birthplace of the Thai Buddhist meditation method called "Dhammakaya meditation." One of the highlights is the emerald-colored "Maharatchamongkhon Great Pagoda," completed in 2012, and its mesmerizing ceiling art. The ceiling depicts the universe, featuring 28 Buddhas and the Bodhi tree. Additionally, the top floor offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Bangkok! Access is about a 15-minute walk from MRT Bang Phai Station. Walking through the local streets on the way is an enjoyable experience! Admission is free, and you can visit between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Visiting during quieter hours allows for a more serene experience. Wat Paknam is slightly off the beaten path among Bangkok's tourist spots, but its beauty and tranquility make it well worth the visit!
