Tour Guide to Tianning Temple: A Historical Gem in Beijing

Located in Beijing's Xicheng District, Tianning Temple is one of the oldest temples in the city, originally built during the Northern Wei Dynasty in the 5th century. The current structure was rebuilt during the Qing Dynasty, with its most striking feature being the 57.8-meter-tall octagonal, thirteen-story dense-eave brick pagoda. This pagoda, constructed during the Liao Dynasty in the 11th century, still showcases intricate carvings from that era.
