Changsha! A budget-friendly hotel worth revisiting!! So comfortable to stay in!!

My first stay at the newly opened Changsha Yuelu Marriott Hotel was an excellent experience. On the first night, I stayed in a Lake View King Room. The view outside the window combined the lake, mountains, and illuminated scenery across the river, offering a broad and stunning vista. Personally, I think this is currently the best view among all Marriott hotels in Changsha. According to the front desk, the hotel has a limited number of suites, which are not yet available for booking, and the opening time remains undetermined. After glancing at the fire evacuation map, I guessed that rooms 25 and 26 are open-plan king rooms, room 12 is a suite, and room 08’s specific type is unclear for now. In terms of fitness facilities, the gym is spacious with well-equipped machines, and the locker room even includes a small sauna—a thoughtful touch. The pool features a viewing window above, so on sunny days, you might need some sunscreen before taking a dip. The executive lounge is located on the top floor (35th) with great views. However, I arrived at the hotel at 8:30 PM and missed the happy hour, so I can’t comment on the offerings—this part isn’t very informative. Because the Western restaurant Gong Kitchen had an event on the morning of the 10th, breakfast on the first day was served in the lounge with limited variety. The breakfast quality at Gong Kitchen is still unknown, so this also isn’t very informative. The lobby lounge boasts excellent views and an open, grand design with its high-ceilinged atrium. The hotel’s renovation odor was much lighter than expected, with no noticeable smells in any area. The design and decor in both the rooms and public spaces are of high quality, and the layout of the standard rooms is quite similar to the Jianhongda JW Marriott. I didn’t pay much attention to the toiletries, so I can’t comment on the brands. Every staff member I encountered in every part of the hotel was incredibly warm and welcoming. Even while swimming, the attendant enthusiastically brought me water—service was exceptionally attentive. 🧹 Soundproofing/Cleanliness: Overall soundproofing is good, with no noise disturbances during my stay. The cleanliness is outstanding, with both rooms and public areas kept spotless. 🏘️ Room Type/Layout: The standard room layout is practical, and the Lake View King Room offers an unparalleled view of the lake, mountains, and riverbank scenery, ensuring a comfortable stay. 🛌 Amenities/Facilities: The hotel is well-equipped, with a gym featuring a variety of machines and even a sauna. The pool’s viewing window is a unique touch. The decor in both rooms and public areas is high-quality, with minimal renovation odor. 💗 Other Tips: The executive lounge on the 35th floor offers great city views. Remember sunscreen when swimming on sunny days. As a newly opened hotel, the facilities are fresh, the service is warm, and the overall experience is excellent. The lobby lounge’s open views make it perfect for relaxation. In summary: The Changsha Yuelu Marriott Hotel boasts a prime location, breathtaking scenery, and as a newly opened property, it has minimal renovation odor, comprehensive facilities, and exceptionally attentive staff. The overall quality is outstanding, and it’s expected to be very popular. Whether for travel or local staycations, it’s a great choice and highly recommended.
