Chenonceau Castle is located in the Loire Valley, a world cultural heritage site. It is a French castle that spans the Cher River. It is one of the most famous castles in the Loire Valley and a must-visit place in the Loire Valley. Chenonceau first appears in documentary sources in the 11th century and the current castle was built between 1514 and 1522 on the foundations of an old mill and was later extended across the river.
