Located on Gouzhu Mountain about 20 kilometers northwest of Daixian County, Yanmen Pass is renowned as the "First Pass of China." The scenic area features various historical structures including the pass fortress, Great Wall, defensive walls, military forts, beacon towers, and post stations, boasting unparalleled historical significance and rich cultural heritage. Important Note: Be sure to enter the scenic area from the North Gate, as major attractions like the Pass Tower are located nearby. If entering from the South Gate, there are no transportation options available after parking - you'll have to walk approximately 2 kilometers one way from the South Gate to reach the Pass Tower near the North Gate. Since your vehicle remains parked at the South Gate, you'll need to walk back, making the round trip over 4 kilometers.
