Home to the "First Pass Under Heaven," the ancient city of Daizhou is worth your immediate departure

Lost in its charm, this spontaneous reverse trip led me straight to the hidden gem of Daixian County in Xinzhou, Shanxi! No overwhelming crowds, low prices, and after a three-day, two-night itinerary, I was completely smitten! Today, I must share this delightful surprise with everyone! ✔️1. Ashoka Pagoda — Bianjing Tower — Daizhou Confucian Temple ✔️2. Yanmen Pass — Ancient City of Daizhou ✔️3. Mount Wutai Before the trip, I researched and found that Daixian is a small county with compact attractions. After comparing options online, I settled on 🏨 Lihua Grand Hotel. Checking in was a delightful surprise! For less than 200 RMB per person, breakfast was included! The spacious king room was so large you could spin around in it, and it was spotlessly clean. After dropping off my luggage 🧳, I grabbed a meal at the hotel restaurant. I expected hotel restaurants to be pricey, but the menu was much better than city restaurants. The portions were generous, and the dishes were freshly cooked by the chefs—absolutely delicious! With a full stomach, I started my exploration. On the first day, I visited the Ashoka Pagoda, Bianjing Tower, and Daizhou Confucian Temple, all within walking distance of the hotel. Strolling through Daixian felt like stepping back a thousand years. Every ancient building 🏘️ was like a heavy history book, with intricately carved roof ornaments, exquisite door decorations, and neatly arranged door nails—each detail revealing the aesthetic codes of our ancestors, making it impossible not to stop and admire. On the second day, I headed straight to Yanmen Pass, truly deserving its title as the "First Pass of China." The ancients often said, "He who holds Yanmen Pass holds the world," and its grandeur was undeniable. I love buying cultural souvenirs, and the "Meet Yanmen" fridge magnets from the pass were both elegant and tasteful—highly recommended! On the final day, I visited Mount Wutai. After praying for blessings, I stopped by Huiji Temple, Nanchan Temple, and Foguang Temple. As filming locations for *Black Myth: Wukong*, seeing these ancient temples in person was indescribably awe-inspiring! The flying eaves and bracket sets were brimming with historical weight.
