📖🍃 Trinity College & the Long Room

The first place that truly stayed with me was Trinity College. You pass through the gates, and it’s as if the city steps back, the air stills. There’s something incredibly grounding about that space. Old stone buildings, neat lawns, and a hush that asks you to move a little slower. We queued for the Long Room, that long, arched, wooden 🪵 hall you’ve probably seen in photos 🖼️ and when we finally stepped inside, all I could do was stop. It’s not just beautiful. It’s reverent. Thousands of old books lining shelves that rise toward the ceiling, the smell of wood and dust and time. You don’t rush in there. You just breathe and look. There’s a gravity to it, not heavy, but deep. A quiet reminder that we’re part of something much bigger and older than ourselves.
