🏔️ Touching the Sky at Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe

Standing at the top of Jungfraujoch felt like stepping into another world — 3,454 meters above sea level, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and crisp mountain air. It’s not every day you get to say you’ve been to the highest railway station in Europe, and the experience definitely lived up to its name. As we exited the train tunnel and emerged onto the platform, the view of the Aletsch Glacier stretching out in the distance was nothing short of breathtaking. It was a surreal sight — layers of snow, jagged peaks, and that icy blue glimmer in the distance. Despite the freezing cold, we took our time outdoors, soaking in the majestic views and taking way too many photos! Inside, we explored the Ice Palace — a chilly but fun walk through tunnels carved out of solid ice, complete with ice sculptures. The Sphinx Observatory offered another panoramic perspective, giving us a 360° view of the Alps that made us feel so small compared to nature’s grandeur. There’s also a café and souvenir shop at the top, which we popped into for a hot drink (much needed in that cold!). Altitude sickness is a thing up here, so we paced ourselves and drank lots of water. Overall, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience. Cold? Absolutely. But magical? 100%.
