A Family Run Isakaya Can’t Miss🇯🇵

Fukinotou in Furano is a popular izakaya among locals. The atmosphere is warm and the owner takes orders and cooks the food himself. You can sit at the counter to watch them talk while they cook, or sit on the sunken chairs to socialize. 🍽️ I tried several of the restaurant's recommended dishes. The fried shrimp was fresh and crispy, so I ordered it twice. The grilled chicken and grilled pork skewers were just the right size and had a nice smell and tender meat. The taste of the food was so good that I had to keep ordering more. The fried chicken wings had crispy skin and juicy meat. The grilled shima hoke fish took a while to arrive. The owner recommended it and it was very delicious. The fish meat was fragrant and grilled over a low heat until the skin was crispy, but the fish meat was still soft and not dry. The vegetable salad and pickled vegetables were also delicious. The fresh, crispy vegetables were refreshing to eat. Ending with grilled miso rice balls, it was not disappointing. The rice was soft, sweet and grilled with a fragrant miso aroma.
