Yonghwasan in Hwacheon

#summervacay Took a spontaneous trip up Yonghwasan in Hwacheon and honestly, it was such a nice surprise. The trail is short and sweet, not too intense, but enough to get your heart rate up. Perfect for a half-day adventure when you just wanna get outside and breathe in that fresh Gangwon-do mountain air. The path winds through quiet forest, and there’s this calm, almost meditative vibe the whole way up. It’s not a super famous mountain, which means zero crowds. Major win. Once you reach the summit, the views are awesome, Hwacheon laid out below, rivers winding through the hills, and mountains rolling off into the distance. Total peace. I chilled up there with a rice ball and some tea, just taking it all in. No rush, no noise, just sky, trees, and stillness.
