Temple Time & Zen Vibes, Haeinsa Hits Different

#summervacay If you're anywhere near Hapcheon, you have to swing by Haeinsa Temple. It’s one of those places that just feels special the second you step in, super peaceful, surrounded by forested mountains, and packed with that old-school Korean temple charm. The walk up is really nice, especially if you come via the Sound Road (which is a vibe all on its own). Once you get to the temple complex, it’s a mix of quiet courtyards, colorful buildings, and just this calm, grounded energy that kinda makes you wanna whisper. Of course, the big deal here is the Tripitaka Koreana, those ancient woodblocks stored in this super old, beautifully simple building. Even if you’re not into history, it’s crazy impressive. Everything’s well-kept and super photogenic, but not overly touristy. I went in the late afternoon and it was the perfect time, less crowded, golden light, total zen. 100% worth a visit if you’re into culture, nature, or just need a reset.
