Travel Fragment Record ~ Ancient Pagoda Park

Leaving the First Pass Under Heaven, heading to Jinzhou, checking into the brand new Hanting Hotel in the evening, planning to have donkey meat at Qin San Donkey near the hotel for dinner. On the way, I saw the Jinzhou Ancient Pagoda, also known as the Guangji Temple Ancient Pagoda, which is a landmark building in Jinzhou and one of the tallest ancient buildings in the western Liaoning region. This ancient pagoda was built in the third year of the Qingning period of Emperor Daozong of Liao (1057). The pagoda was constructed to house the relics bestowed by the empress. It is a solid brick structure with dense eaves, currently standing at 57 meters high. The pagoda has an octagonal shape, with each side carved with a Buddha flanked by attendants, three treasure canopies, and two flying deities. The flying deities soar above, the Buddha sits solemnly in a niche, and the attendants stand respectfully beside the niche. The pagoda has thirteen eaves in total, and under the glow of the setting sun, it looks extraordinarily enchanting.
