Pha Taem Paintings, Ubon Ratchathani Province

Prehistoric paintings or Pha Taem paintings are a tourist attraction in Pha Taem National Park. It is a place where traces of ancient colors were discovered on cave walls, which are over 4,000 years old. It is considered an important source of civilization that shows the story and was once a place where humans lived before history. In addition to visiting Pha Taem paintings, you will also find a stone tablet with the name “Sirindhorn” inscribed by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, which was buried on the cliff as a souvenir when she visited the prehistoric paintings on Pha Taem in 1994. When traveling to see the paintings, it is recommended to wear sneakers and sun protection because the path is a steep staircase and is a natural path.
