Kagoshima IN Shizuoka OUT: A 2-Day, 1-Night Itinerary!

Let me introduce the 2-day, 1-night itinerary from Kagoshima to Shizuoka that I experienced last January. For my 164th trip to Japan, I planned a 2-day, 1-night journey starting in Kagoshima. I stayed overnight in Yokohama. On the second day, I returned via Shizuoka, with the first day involving a domestic flight from Kagoshima to Haneda, which I transferred to independently. In Kagoshima, I prepared two plans: Plan A and Plan B. If airport procedures are completed within 15 minutes, I proceed with Plan A, which involves taking a bus and taxi to visit the Kirishima Open-Air Museum. Alternatively, I could use a chartered taxi for 20,000 yen. If airport procedures take longer, I switch to Plan B, which involves taking the airport limousine bus to Kagoshima-Chuo Station and Tenmonkan Station to collect two manhole cards from distribution points. I return to the airport by 6:30 PM to catch the 7 PM flight. I arrive in Tokyo after 8:30 PM and head to Ginza by 10 PM to enjoy a reserved nighttime afternoon tea with champagne. At midnight, I move to my accommodation in Yokohama for a late check-in and rest. After checking out, I join breakfast at 7 AM. By 8:30 AM, I arrive in Ebina, where I take a photo of one manhole during a 5-minute transfer time. At 8:45 AM, I reach Yasugi to collect two manhole cards. By 10 AM, I move to Odawara, where I photograph around 30 manholes and collect four manhole cards within an hour. By noon, I head to Hakone to enjoy a reserved afternoon tea. I then move to Hakone-Yumoto Station to experience the onsen smell for about 15 minutes. By 2 PM, I return to Odawara and take the Shinkansen to Shizuoka. On the way, I capture photos of Mount Fuji from the train window. At Shimizu Station, I collect a manhole card, then head to Shizuoka Station to collect another card and gather newly installed Pokémon manholes in Shizuoka. I arrive at Shizuoka Airport 40 minutes before departure. Thank you. ※ This was originally planned as the 40th special 2-day, 1-night Japan trip, but due to the snowstorm at Incheon Airport last November, it became the 39th trip. This itinerary covers Kagoshima, Tokyo, Yokohama, Odawara, Hakone, and Shizuoka within 2 days and 1 night.
