Belgian Mediterranean Tapas in Leuven

#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck Sud Sud Bistro is a Mediterranean restaurant located on Parijsstraat, the liveliest food and drink area in Leuven, and is also close to major tourist attractions such as Oude Markt (Old Market) and Historic Town Hall. The restaurant focuses on small tapas-style dishes to order as snacks with drinks and chill out for a long time. This restaurant is lively in the evenings when people come to socialize after work. The food and drink menu combines authentic Mediterranean food and Belgian snacks. The drinks focus on Mediterranean wines and Belgian beers. For this meal, I ordered the following: ➡️ Gemarineerde chicken wings Small chicken wings marinated in spices and fried without being coated in flour. The flavors from the marinade and seasonings are very enjoyable to eat. ➡️ Garnaalkroketten met tzatziki This dish is based on the national Belgian snack, Garnaalkroketten, which are croquettes or fried mashed potatoes stuffed with small shrimps. Served with Mediterranean cucumber yogurt dip (tzatziki) which helps to cut through the greasiness of the fried food, it came out really well. ➡️ Calamari Fried calamari, the frying skill is really good, crispy and not oily. The calamari used is also soft, good to eat with drinks. ➡️ Scampi a la plancha Shrimp stir-fried with butter and garlic, seasoned with Mediterranean spices, done up to standard. #TravelBelgium #TravelEurope
