I just returned from a trip to Lingshui with my children and have compiled this latest guide for family travel. 🏠 Accommodation I recommend staying near Qingshui Bay. I booked a place near Yingzhou Farmers Market in Qingshui, which was very convenient for dining and shopping. 🚗 Transportation Fly ✈️ to Sanya or Haikou ❶ Transfer by high-speed train ❷ Rent a car and drive (about 1.5 hours from Sanya) ❸ Take a taxi (cost me nearly 💰200 from Sanya Airport) 🏝 Great Spots for Kids ✔️ Rich Ocean Happy World Highly recommend the 2-day/1-night Hyatt package. I went during off-peak season and it was empty! No queues for any rides - amazing experience! Don't miss the mini train - kids love it. Feeding penguins, belugas, dolphins, manatees, turtles, and stingrays, plus various shows. The evening fireworks are spectacular! ✔️ Qingshui Bay Free Lighthouse Filming location for "Lost in the Stars". Navigate to "Jianjian Cafe". The sea train costs 💰10 per person one way (my toddler was free). Round trip for 💰20 - kids adore it, great for photos! ✔️ Letian Guixinju Feeding giant tortoises is the highlight here - a must-do activity. ✔️ Nanwan Monkey Island & Daidai Island Can be visited in one day. The cable car ride offers stunning aerial views of the fishing villages. Protect your food from monkeys! ✔️ Boundary Island Many recommend it, but I found it overpriced. 💰40 sightseeing bus wasn't worth it. ⚠️ Stingray feeding isn't suitable for young kids (water reaches chin level). Costs 💰80 per person (only 2 pieces of fish). The sunset made up for it though. ✔️ Dragon Fruit Farm Visit after 7pm when the lights turn on - magical! 🦀 Beachcombing: ✔️ Li'an Port We pulled fishing nets here with great catches - super fun for all ages! ✔️ Huling Crystal clear waters, chance to see monkeys. 20-minute hike to viewpoint. ✔️ Gangmenling Navigate to "Hongfa Seafood Restaurant" - find octopus, starfish, sea urchins, crabs. ✔️ Xiaochiling Navigate to "Wyndham Hotel" - sea-view path on the left. ✔️ Xincun Navigate to "Lingshui Monkey Island Tourist Pier" for water bus. ✔️ Tonghai Village Navigate to "Shenji Store" 🍽️ Food: Diaodia Coconut Chicken, Taiqiong Zao Bo Cu, Hupo Fragrant Duck - all local favorites!
