The breathtaking scenery of Kamikochi

Last October, I visited Kamikochi to enjoy the autumn foliage. I took an overnight bus from Nagoya and arrived in Kamikochi early in the morning. Stepping off the bus, I was greeted by the chill of winter. Despite dressing warmly, I still felt a bit cold. The weather that day wasn’t perfectly clear, with some lingering clouds. However, the sight of Kamikochi beginning to glow in orange hues was so stunning it gave me goosebumps. The clouds shifted in shape and position over time, and if you stay in one spot long enough, there are moments when the clouds disappear—perfect for capturing the scenery with your camera 📷. The return bus was scheduled for after 5 PM, but by around 3 PM, I was already tired from walking and decided to relax near the bus terminal. This time, I visited in mid-October, but the foliage might be more vibrant later in the month. However, buses from Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo operate only for a limited period, so it’s best to check carefully how long the bus services are available.
