13/2/68 Sapporo boarding time 12.20 Arrive Sapporo - 14.00 Check in to accommodation, rest, change clothes appropriately, find dinner to eat because it gets dark very early here, it's already dark at 4 pm. After dinner, we walked in the snow, took pictures around Susukino. Before going to accommodation, we secretly stopped by Super 2nd Street to buy more windbreakers because the ones we brought were really too cold for the -5 degree weather 😅 14/2/68 Travel to one of the most popular tourist attractions in Hokkaido, Otaru 1 day trip 1. Otaru fish market Walk to find delicious seafood next to Otaru station 2. Otaru canal Otaru canal on a day when the snow falls, very romantic. Around the canal, there are many places to take pictures. At the beginning of the canal, there are a lot of tourists because it's where tour groups come down. If you walk up a little bit, there will be fewer people. There is plenty of time to take beautiful pictures. 3. Kitakaro Main Shop Otaru, a famous dessert shop. The dessert is very delicious. After taking pictures at Otaru Canal, don't forget to stop by and eat. 4. Otaru Aquarium, go see the penguin parade 3 times a day at 10.30, 12.30, 14.30, but we didn't make it in time for the show 😭 Date 15/2/68 Sapporo Sign Seeing Day 1. Nijo Fish Market, a lot of fresh seafood to choose from, but we didn't take pictures for this meal, lol 2. Sapporo TV Tower, another check-in point in Sapporo. You can go up and see the view from above. But we stopped to take pictures around the area instead. 3. The next check-in point is the Sapporo clock tower. 4. Luckily, today the snow started to melt, the sky started to open up, and the streets in Sapporo were easier to walk on, and not slippery. Even though the sun was shining like this, the temperature was 2 degrees Celsius, so it was very cold. 5. After trying the eclair at Kitakaro in Otaru and being impressed, it was the most delicious eclair I've ever had. Today, I decided to stop by Sapporo to eat it. Anyone who wants to come must wait in line. The shop opens at 11:00, only accepting 4-5 tables per round. 6. The next check-in point is the former government office, another landmark of Sapporo. If anyone comes, don't forget to stop by and take pictures. The beautiful old building, combined with the snow, makes for beautiful pictures. The renovation is almost complete. 7. After having lunch, we went back to our accommodation to rest and recharge our energy from the morning. Waiting for the sunset view at Mount Moiwa ropeway and observation desk On 16/2/2568, starting and ending at Susukino, this morning we stopped for coffee at McDonald's 1. Hill of Buddha, travel by subway Sapporo mainline for about 30 minutes and then take a bus for another 30 minutes, we will arrive at Hill of Buddha. On the way here, the view on both sides is very beautiful. There are many places to take pictures, both Stonehenge and the dome of the Buddha statue in meditation posture, which has no roof on top. The snow falling on the Buddha statue is very beautiful. Not to mention the natural view covered with white snow as far as the eye can see. Anyone who visits Sapporo during this time should not miss it. We spent almost half a day here. 2. In the afternoon after lunch, we thought about going to the Ice Festival at Lake Shikotsu, which is held only once a year. Because the journey is quite far... But we went..😅 We traveled from Sapporo JR sta. to Chitose JR sta. to take a bus, but the bus was full, so we didn't stop at this stop. Luckily, we met 2 more Thai people who were going to the same place. So we split the taxi fare for a round trip, which was 7,000 yen, but it was worth it to see the ice sculptures for the first time. So exciting! 🤩 3. The view of Lake Shikotsu is absolutely stunning!

Otaru is known as the most affordable Michelin two-star restaurant in Japan. On the way to Yoichi, you will pass through Otaru, so make sure to stop by Sushi Street in Otaru for a meal, especially at this place: Kukizen 🍣, a Michelin two-star restaurant ⭐️⭐️. My family sponsor has been missing this sushi restaurant dearly. From our first visit ten years ago until now, our love for it has never faded. As soon as I entered, the owner and head chef of Kukizen recognized me with a knowing look that said, "I remember you 😏" #EyeContactConfirmed👀. The last time I visited was during my solo trip in June 2024, back when it was still at its old location. Now, after relocating, the counter seating for one dining session has been reduced to just six spots. It seems this already hard-to-book restaurant will become even harder to reserve in the future 🥹. However, if you have the chance to visit Otaru, I still highly recommend Kukizen. They exclusively use seafood ingredients from Hokkaido and Otaru, and the balance of acidity and texture in their sushi rice is exceptional. Lunch 12-piece sushi set: ¥7,000 per person, which is less than NT$1,500. Its appearance is very similar to the steam clock in Vancouver, Canada, because they are always the focus of tourists' attention. The steam clock standing at the entrance of the Music Box Hall was made of bronze by a famous Canadian watchmaker in 1977. It is 5.5 meters high, 1 meter wide, and weighs 1.5 tons. In addition to telling the time on the hour, the air whistle above also emits steam every 15 minutes. Almost all the items sold in Domotokan are music boxes. There are music boxes of various shapes and sizes, and the prices are not expensive, making them a great gift. I also bought two music boxes here, one is a ♥-shaped music box, and the other is a piano-shaped music box. My kid at home likes music boxes very much, and I promised him that I would give him a music box for his birthday next year. Located next to Otaru Station, the small market is packed with various seafood shops along its narrow passageways. The live seafood looks very fresh, and many tourists' favorite king crabs are still lively. The seafood restaurants are usually crowded with tourists, and the wait time can be over 1 to 2 hours. Since I was staying nearby, I went to the Takino Dining Hall at the Sankaku Market before lunch to get a number ticket for ordering. As expected, the wait time was 75 minutes, so I took a walk around the nearby area. Using the QR code on the Takino Dining Hall number ticket, I checked the waiting status and quickly walked back to the Sankaku Market just in time for my turn. I ordered the assorted seafood bowl (¥3520). The fish was crisp and sweet, and the sea urchin was delicious. I also ordered a bottle of Otaru sake to go with it, and I was very satisfied. Indeed, the famous restaurant is worth the wait.

If you go to Hokkaido, you can't miss Otaru [SnowFlake] The weather was bad in the morning, and Mount Hakodate was on our itinerary, so we decisively gave up Mount Tengu and chose the aquarium instead.
