🇮🇹 1 day in Palermo 🛳️ Transportation Cruise: Napoli ➡️ Palermo 💺 Types of seats: Cabin bed (2 or 4 beds in a room) / seat 💫 My option: seat and spent most of the time in the 24-hour bar ⏳Duration: 10 hours, overnight 🛝 Facilities in cruise: Cafe / Bar / Restaurant/ Gaming Area / Children Room/ Shops 🏠 Accommodation Astoria Palace hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I stayed 4 nights in this hotel, for more details please check my review on the profile~ 1. Cleaniness 🧹 Clean and tidy, there are staffs helping to clean the bathroom and bed every day. 🛀 2. Facilities No kettle for hot water, ♨️if you’re booking a standard room. You could only get it from the bar which closed at 22:30. For those who might want cup noodles for supper, you better do it before 22:30 :) 🍜 3. Location 📍 Quite far away from the city centre. Bus never came... Rent a scooter 🛴 if you’re in a hurry, or ask staffs to call taxi. 🚕 📍 Itinerary Overview 🗓️ Day 1 📍Teatro Massimo di Palermo 🎭 The biggest opera house in Italy! The first 2 pictures have shown the outside and inside of the building. There are tours that brings you to explore the interior, and the tour guide is here to explain every detail, history and design. The tour takes 40 minutes ⏳, costs less than €10 💰per person which is really worth it! 🪄This is probably my fav spot in Palermo 💖 📍Chiesa e Monastero di Santa Caterina d'Alessandria There are 2 types of ticket 🎫 you could choose, one is only for entry costs €3, another one includes rooftop costs €10. Buy the tickets in your needs~ I highly recommend the €10 ticket, except for the rooftop, there’re many paintings or sculptures which explains Jesus’ sacrifice for humanity sins. By following the only route, you arrive to rooftop at the end. You can see Fontana Pretoria there. ⛲️ 🍝 Local Cuisine 1️⃣ Ke Palle (pic 8&9) Famous Sicilia fried rice ball 🍙 you must give it a try before leaving Sicily! They usually use risotto / pasta with cheese in the rice ball which is so crispy and perfect for a snack. There’re so many different flavors, like spicy 🌶️ flavor, mozzarella mushroom 🧀, squid ink 🦑 risotto, carbonara sauce with bacon 🥓 etc.. 2️⃣ Il Culinario (pic 10&11) Order their seafood pasta would be the best choice for a perfect dinner to end the day 🙏🏻 we ordered garlic clams spaghetti 🧄 and Cuttlefish ink pasta with red prawn tartare Mazara on top, both of them were so delicious!! 🤤 I just wish I had time to visit them again. The waiters were so friendly, they even gave us free lemoncello 🍋 And of course, the desserts (tiramisu and Cannolo Siciliano di Piana) were also amazing!! 🔖 Day 2 ~ 4: visit different cities near Palermo Trip Moments in progress ✨✨
