Semeru Mountain

Semeru, or Mount Semeru, is an active volcano in East Java, Indonesia. It is located in the subduction zone, where the Indo-Australia plate subducts under the Eurasia plate. It is the highest mountain on the island of Java. This stratovolcano is also known as Mahameru, meaning "The Great Mountain" in Sanskrit. You will have a life time experience if you visiting Semeru, when you arrive at mahameru and you pass the Ranu Kumbolo lake, you will feel calm, peace and cool. That is Semeru, the highest peak in Java. Prepare physically and mentally before leaving, including a health certificate from a doctor.
