Qingwan Cactus Park

Qingwan Cactus Park was the most surprising attraction during my trip to Penghu! Located in Fenggui, Magong, it was originally a military base during the Japanese colonial period but has now been transformed into a uniquely themed botanical park. The park is filled with various types of cacti and still retains historical structures like fortifications and bunkers, making the walking trails feel quite special. Although the park is not very large, it is thoughtfully designed. In some areas, you can enjoy distant views of Hujing Island and Tongpan Island, with stunning scenery, especially during sunset—it’s absolutely breathtaking! If you love photography, enjoy ocean views, and are looking for a peaceful spot away from the crowds, this place is perfect. I highly recommend visiting in the late afternoon to stroll around and watch the sunset—it’s incredibly relaxing!
