The Scenery of Pictou Island Fishing Village

Pictou Island is located in Nova Scotia, Canada, southeast of the Northumberland Strait, at coordinates 45°48′50″N 62°33′25″W. It measures 9.5 km in length and 2.5 km in width, with its highest point reaching 24 meters (78 feet) above sea level. The island is densely forested. Fishing is the primary livelihood for its residents. The island features a public dock and breakwater, a community center, a one-room public school, a church, a fire department, several lighthouses, and a small airport.
