Voice of Art: A Walk Through Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall

The sunlight that day shone on the pure white facade, as if covering this historic art palace with a layer of golden light. As you enter the theater, the spacious foyer, high ceilings and exquisitely carved columns will take your breath away, as if you have walked into a time tunnel. Walking through the exhibition halls, I was introduced to the long history of this place since 1862. It has been both a theater and a center of cultural activities, witnessing countless historical events and art festivals. Inside the concert hall, the majestic organ stands quietly, as if waiting for the next symphony to sound. In an exhibition in one corner, I read about how the Victoria Theatre has carried the development of art and urban culture, and I was deeply impressed by Singapore’s cherishment and inheritance of art. When we left, the evening twilight made the theater and the surrounding scenery look picturesquely harmonious. This exploration not only allowed me to appreciate the beauty of architecture, but also allowed me to deeply appreciate how art enriches the soul of a city.
