πŸ₯© Barossa Steak & Grill β€” Charcoal-Grilled Steak with Waterfront Chill

Had dinner at Barossa Steak & Grill at VivoCity and it really delivered that easygoing, indulgent vibe I was hoping for. Right by the water, with a breezy open-air setup and live music playing in the background (Thursday to Saturday evenings)β€”it’s the kind of place where you could just kick back for hours. We started with the tiger prawns from Ah Hua Kelong, grilled perfectly and packed with smoky, garlicky goodness. The steak tartare surprised meβ€”it wasn’t just your usual chopped beef. It had smoked oyster aioli, ponzu jelly, wasabi zuke, and other little touches that gave it a layered, punchy flavor. Definitely not boring. The star of the night was the steak. We shared the Wagyu Ribeye (MS7/8) and the dry-aged Porterhouse. Both came off the Josper charcoal grill with that beautiful crust and a juicy center. You could taste the char, and the meat was melt-in-your-mouth. Paired with their red wine sauce? Heaven. Also had the Ōra King Salmon, which was tender and buttery with a light yuzu sauce and grilled broccolini. It was a nice balance to all the beef. For sides, don’t skip the Patatas Asadaβ€”garlic butter, kelp-infused, crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside. I’d come back just for that. The mac & cheese with smoked bacon was a rich, comforting classic. Desserts were a surprise hit. The frozen dark chocolate whiskey soufflΓ© was cold and creamy with a boozy kick, and the jasmine smoked fig mochi cake was one of the more unique endings I’ve had in a while. Service was smooth and friendly. Not overly formal, just warm and attentive. Food came out at a nice pace, and the staff knew their stuff when we had questions about cuts or sauces. Only thing to noteβ€”water’s chargeable, and mains don’t come with sides by default, so it adds up a bit. But overall, for a chill evening with great steaks, good vibes, and that open-air view of Sentosa across the water, Barossa hits all the right notes. #summervacay #singapore #singaporetrip #barossasteakandgrill #vivocity #steaknight #waterfrontdining
