Jamsil's Must-Try Gopchang Spot: Byeolmi Gopchang

📍Restaurant Name: Byeolmi Gopchang 💖Review: I visited Byeolmi Gopchang with friends to enjoy some delicious gopchang. Conveniently located in Bangi-dong near Jamsil Station, it was easy to find. Having recently been featured on TV, my expectations were high. The interior of the restaurant was clean and cozy, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The tables were spaced adequately, allowing for a comfortable dining experience. We ordered the assorted gopchang platter that was featured on TV. It included a generous variety of cuts such as gopchang (small intestines), daechang (large intestines), makchang (rectum), and yeomtong (heart). Just looking at the fresh gopchang sizzling on the grill was enough to make our mouths water. The staff grilled the meat for us and cut it into bite-sized pieces, making it easy to enjoy. A bite of perfectly grilled gopchang paired with chives burst with savory juices and umami flavors in my mouth. The daechang, in particular, was incredibly rich and melted in my mouth. The chewy makchang and gopchang filled with flavorful fat were equally delightful. The complimentary raw liver and tripe were fresh and enjoyable as well. After finishing the meat, we ordered fried rice, a classic K-dessert. Stir-fried with the leftover gopchang seasoning, the rice was savory, spicy, and absolutely delicious. The restaurant's late-night hours, open until dawn, make it a great spot for leisurely dining even late at night. Parking guidance was also helpful, making it convenient for those driving. Overall, the fresh and tasty gopchang, friendly service, and lively atmosphere made for a satisfying meal.
