Before its opening in 2020, Suzhou's luxury hotel market was in disarray. While the then-trendy W Hotel wasn’t bad, it certainly didn’t embody true luxury. It wasn’t until Suzhou Park Hyatt opened in 2020 that it perfectly defined what a Suzhou-style luxury hotel should be. ▪️Even today, many design elements of Suzhou Park Hyatt can still be seen in hotels like Suzhou Four Seasons and Suzhou Indigo Jinji Lake, proving its landmark influence on Suzhou’s hospitality scene. ▪️Back in 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣, during its grand opening, I celebrated my birthday by booking the iconic Lake View Terrace Suite (Room 918), which offers one of the best Ferris wheel 🎡 views. At the time, I was utterly speechless at the quality of Suzhou Park Hyatt. Even now, five years later, I still believe the Lake View Terrace Suite remains the soul of Suzhou Park Hyatt and a benchmark for luxury suites in Suzhou. ▪️This time, I booked the Lake View Terrace Suite again and requested Room 918 for my fifth anniversary stay. The hotel graciously arranged the same room as my first visit, making it extra special to return to my favorite hotel on this milestone birthday. ▪️Though I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stayed at Suzhou Park Hyatt over the past five years, it never fails to captivate me—I’m still enchanted by its Suzhou-inspired luxury aesthetics.
