Switzerland Travel Review: A Dreamland That Melts the Heart Switzerland… A name that makes your heart swell with the beauty of nature that is beyond words! If we talk about a country that seems to have come out of a fairy tale, where tall mountains, crystal clear lakes, wooden houses decorated with colorful flowers, and sweet chocolate are not far away, we must say that “Switzerland” is a dreamland that everyone should experience at least once in their life. Start the trip in Zurich, a big city full of warmth and simple charm from the first step off the train. You will see houses and small shops decorated with colorful fresh flowers along the streets. And the sound of water flowing from the Limmat River that is as clear as a mirror reflecting the old bridge and the clear sky. We walk along the small streets. Filled with the aroma of pastries and fresh coffee, this morning is the ultimate happiness that fills the heart. Then, take a beautiful train to Lucerne, which is like a fairy tale city. The Kapellbrücke wooden bridge with an ancient wooden roof and decorated with colorful flowers invites us to walk through as if we are stepping into a dream world. The crystal clear water of Lake Lucerne reflects the snowy mountains in the distance. Small boats floating around are a peaceful and refreshing sight. The highlight of Lucerne is taking the cable car up to Mount Pilatus. The view from the top is so breathtaking that it takes your breath away. The city of Lucerne and the vast lake contrast with the snowy mountains that stretch as far as the eye can see. The sound of the wind and birds flying past creates a feeling like you are in a snowy fairytale world. Then we traveled to Interlaken, a small town located between Lake Thun and Brienz. The water is so clear that you want to jump in and play. Every corner of the town is filled with small, colorful wooden houses, small shops selling fragrant pastries, and chocolate shops that melt in your mouth. I really love the Swiss chocolate here, especially the hot cheese fondue eaten with stretchy bread. It is so delicious that you have to ask for more! Another highlight that you shouldn't miss is taking the Jungfraujoch train, which is called the "Top of Europe" because it is the highest train station in Europe. The view along the way is as beautiful as a painting. Green fields, small wooden houses, and snow-covered mountains everywhere. The more we reached the top of the mountain, the pure white snow, the cool breeze, and the unparalleled tranquility made us feel like we were in a world without time. On top of the mountain, there is the Ice Palace, decorated with beautifully carved ice, sparkling like walking in an ice castle in a fairy tale. And the “Top of Europe” sign is perfect for taking beautiful photos to capture beautiful memories. In addition, those who love adventure can also snowboard or sled to their heart’s content. The cool and refreshing atmosphere is perfect for outdoor activities. Then we took the Glacier Express train, famous for its stunning views. The bright red train took us through snowy mountains, green fields, pine forests, and crystal clear lakes along the way. Every shot we saw was like a living postcard, passing by a viewpoint so beautiful it melted our hearts. The destination of this route was Zermatt, a small town with no cars, but with peace and warmth. Wooden houses decorated with fresh flowers and the Matterhorn, a sharp pyramid-shaped mountain that has become a symbol of the country and the logo of Toblerone chocolate. On the first morning, when we saw the Matterhorn standing tall in front of us, our hearts swelled with happiness. In this city, we walked along small streets and met cows and sheep walking in the meadows. It's a very lovely and warm picture. The trip ended with the village of Lauterbrunnen, located in a valley surrounded by steep cliffs and many waterfalls flowing down the cliffs. The sound of the waterfall and the sound of the cow bells are a natural song that calms the mind. The wooden houses lined up along the fresh green fields are an unforgettable memory. Every morning on this trip, we woke up with a view of snowy mountains, blue lakes, and warm wooden houses. We tasted local food such as Cheese Fondue, a hot cheese fondue dipped in soft bread, or Raclette, a hot grilled cheese on potatoes. It was so delicious that we wanted to eat it again and again. Switzerland is not only a beautiful country, but it is also a place that warms the heart and makes you feel like you are truly part of nature. This trip is the most lovely and impressive memory that I will keep in my heart forever.
