Roots

Roots is a sculpture created by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa, based in Taipei, Taiwan, who uses characters from many languages (Latin, Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, etc.) to create human shapes. It is located in front of One Park Taipei. Made of white painted steel, it shines brightly at night, and it is a figure of people sitting on top of each other (like a father and son), representing the “roots” and the connection between humans in terms of culture and generations.
