Over the years, I’ve visited both ends of the boundary—Penglai twice, Changdao once, and Lüshun twice—but each time, cloudy or foggy weather obscured the view. This time was different: Changdao’s boundary line is the clearest and most visible, and the weather was perfect (albeit sunny, with impeccable visibility). From the monument, you can see Changshan Tail extending into the sea, forming a long "S"-shaped waterline that divides the ocean into two halves: the Yellow Sea on the left and the Bohai Sea on the right. After two decades, I’ve finally conquered this elusive sight! 2️⃣ **Changshan Tail** — A Tiny Tail Stretching into the Sea from a God’s-Eye View Whether naturally formed or man-made, Changshan Tail is awe-inspiring. But to truly appreciate its grandeur, you need an aerial perspective. With a drone, you can capture the same breathtaking view as seen in *Aerial China*—it really does look like a tiny tail reaching into the ocean, leaving you in awe. 3️⃣ **Fengshan Summit** — Overlooking the Mystical Fairy Mountain Islands At 148.8 meters above sea level, Fengshan Mountain is the highest point on South Changshan Island, crowned with a majestic eagle sculpture ready to take flight. From here, you can take in panoramic views of the former Changdao County—colonial houses, fishing villages, ports, and towers—all clearly visible. Further out, the other islands of the Miaodao Archipelago appear hazy and dreamlike, truly living up to their name, "Fairy Mountain Islands." 4️⃣ **Coastal Boardwalk** — A Multicolored Bay Beneath Sea Cliffs The coastal boardwalk runs alongside sea cliffs, where the water is even clearer than at the harbor—crystal-clear in some spots, with layered hues. The shoreline features white pebble beaches, while the nearshore waters are transparent like glass. Further out, sargassum divides the deep blue sea.
